"This is a HOSTEL, not a HOTEL. So, PRO: Súper friendly staff, big kitchen you can use, right in front of the beach, in the middle of nowhere. No people around. Perfect for a getaway with no cellphones. CONS: Not the cleanest place, they don’t clean the rooms during your stay, staff only works during mornings so if you need something during the day it’s kinda difficult. "We loved our stay at El Placer! Quiet, comfortable home on an absolutely stunning beach! We took an amazing 8 mile (round trip) walk along the beach, and only met a few fishermen along the way. No other people for miles! A memorable day and experience! And Ricardo was a kind and very responsive host. Would absolutely recommend staying here! One thing to note: the mosquitoes can be quite nasty right around dusk, so remember to cover up and/or have bug spray handy. "
