"If you are a hiker interested in a great place to walk for several days and where you come back to a great dinner in a quiet place, then this is your spot! If you're just looking for a relaxing place to stay, then the drive there may not be worth the effort. The drive there involves some pretty twisty roads with the last 5 km or so on a dirt/gravel road. Once you get there, getting to the reception area and back out again is pretty tricky involving a narrow one lane road. But again, you should be going here if you want good hiking combined worth a quiet place and great food. It's not for the average tourist. The rooms are made of stone and have a nice funky vibe to them. The lock on our door was a rather ancient device and we only got it to work with the help of a can of oil and the hotel manager. The valve in the shower was stuck in one position. One of the USB ports in the room didn't work. But again, if you're looking for a hotel with great USB ports, you shouldn't be coming here. Dinner was great and the restaurant was quiet with striking views of the surrounding mountains. The staff was very friendly and gave us great advice on what else to see while in Crete. Because of the roads, I'm not sure I'd go here again, but I was glad I went. "

"the property is large and has great facilities. perfect for a couple , i really loved this place and can't complain as its great value for money and well worth the drive from the coast. Vrbo mistrakenly placed the property drop pin in the town of Kolymbari but was infact 15 minutes in land from the location they stated, this really inconvenienced us as we had family staying in the town and needed to be nearby , this was Vrbo's fault , not the property owner and will be making a complaint to them . the Property owner was pleasant to deal with and helpful and my only complaint would be that i had to contact someone else to get the key to the property but was not getting messages / calls back on whatsapp so felt a bit stranded at 1am with no key to the place, would have been easier if they had a security box and provide me a code to get the key myself as its not a good system to rely on neighbour/ friends to meet up on arrival . apart from that every thing was very good. i would actually stay again since its such a lovely accommodation and amazing location in the hills."

"Staff here are almost as lovely as the views. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The bedroom was comfortable and clean, AC worked (except when you had to leave the room with the key) but the bathroom is weird with the showers allowing water to flood the floor (this is normal in Greece I think). Taxi's charge a lot to get to and from here- so book a rental! Overall- very happy with my stay and look forward to going back!"
