We had such a wonderful time at True Heaven over Memorial Day weekend. The cabin was extremely well-appointed! Our 5 year old loved the basement "cave" with the bunk beds and "her own" tv. (I'd recommend bringing a baby monitor for even a bit older kid, if you're like me, because it's truly soundproof down there!) The kitchen was great, with plenty of pots and pans. We enjoyed the hot tub on the the deck overlooking the mountains -- even spotted a pair of bald eagles on our last morning! If you're cold-natured, I'd recommend bringing an extra blanket or two, but the beds were very comfortable and clean. As other reviewers suggested, do bring extra things like soap and detergent and paper products. I don't think this is that unusual, though, for a cabin. We did use all the towels, but just washed them, and it was fine.
Our favorite thing was being able to take short mountain drives to wonderful hikes at Amicalola Falls, Long Creek Falls, and Fall Branch Falls (on the Appalachian Trail). The deer that grazed down below the cabin were a treat to see, as were the birds and other animals.
All in all, I would highly recommend this cabin, having stayed in many many over the years. This is among the best! Thanks for a lovely time.
