"My son and I stayed here and enjoyed our stay. We were in town visiting family and we will rent this place again. It was very cozy, spacious and clean. Great location. The host were very responsive. "

The one drawback was the train noise at various hours, but the noise didn’t ruin our sleep. The access to Idle Hour and Guest House was particularly enjoyable. We would all gladly stay here again!"

"Covered up smoke smell throughout the house. I am allergic to cigarette smoke and had a migraine headache. We had to go get candles to try and cover up the smell. Cigarette burns on the master bathroom sink. Someone else’s dried toothpaste cakes on handle when you lifted it to turn on the water GROSS!!! Ants in the entryway going under silver trim by family room carpet. They crawled on my feet that’s how I noticed them. I have videos and pictures. Would not recommend this place to anyone!!!"

"We have stayed at the Trail Inn 2x’s. It is a very unique concept. There is NO ONE and NO Front desk. Once the reservation is made on line, you are sent a code to enter when you go into the hotel and a lock box opens with your room key. Interesting. There is no breakfast (we don’t usually like the breakfasts furnished anyway) but there is a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in the room. Our king room was VERY clean and comfortable. The motel is at the junction of Rte 66 and I55 so there is a little traffic noise but not enough to keep us awake. It is also pet friendly which was beneficial for us. AND the price was right—$76 plus tax. The tv viewing was limited but we were there to sleep and get back on the road. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area."
