"We had a fantastic week staying at the gite. We were a party of 8 and we had plenty of room - having two separate houses also worked really well for us. The pool is lovely - a great size, clean, heated and in a lovely setting. The location is beautiful, in the grounds of the chateau, and we enjoyed eating at the large table outside under the tree. "This hotel is in an old priory near the summit of the hill with the magnificent Chartres Cathedral. Desk was helpful with parking info, and how to exit the restricted area before dawn, so we didn't have to tackle the steep hill after the snow started."

I greatly appreciated the hotel’s design, which was simple, elegant, and practical. Despite being a corporate establishment, the staff managed to maintain a warm and personable demeanor, avoiding the rigidity or overly commercial feel often associated with such places. The room was good value for the price. The only drawback was the lack of electric window shades. As someone highly sensitive to light at night, I found it difficult to fall asleep. I ended up buying an eye mask for the second night, which helped. Overall, we loved our stay, especially considering the great off-season price we paid."
