The Cowboy Country Inn was a great place for our stopover between Capitol Reef NP and Bryce Canyon. The room was fitted with a Western Theme. The bed was nice and the bathroom was great.
Fun little quirky place to stay in Escalante. Self-check in was straightforward. Met Ethan who came by during a brief power outage to make sure everything was in order - very friendly. Conveniently located with easy walks to food (although Escalante isn’t that big). Liked the suite arrangement for the four of us. Would recommend Cowboy Country Inn! Thanks!

Worst excuse for a mattress ever. Terribly uncomfortable. Like a marshmallow. No support. Sank in so bad I moved to the floor.
The room was clean and the towels were nice. But sleep, ha!
We have stayed at this property multiple times, and each visit has been great. The rooms are decorated with charm, and they are always clean and quiet.
Ethan was so great! He was there when we arrived and helped us get into our rooms. He was available if we needed anything. The rooms were a bit dated but still nice and comfortable. Grocery store close as well as good restaurants. Had a fridge and microwave so didn’t need to eat out every night.
I would ask suggest you stress the no smoking policy more as we had several people around us smoking on the porches right next to our room. Smoke was VERY strong!
Other than the smoke, I would stay here again.
Really like the decor of the motel. Loved the bed spread and room. Could not get the tv to connect, is what the message on the tv said. The hand lotion was needed due the dryness of the climate in southern utah, lips and hand especially dry. Thank you
We had two rooms for two nights. Our friend in the second room had to leave early for an emergency at home. Despite missing the deadline to cancel without penalty, the owners worked with us to get a full refund and were amazingly accommodating!
We had requested a room with two beds, and we actually had two rooms sharing a bath. They have lots of “cowboy decor.”
The drive from Escalante to Boulder is spectacular, and the Hell’s Backbone Grill in Boulder is exceptional!!! Pricey, but gourmet with incredible food and service. Plan an early dinner so you can drive home during daylight as the road is curvy, but oh so scenic!!!
The bed was good and the pillows offered a firm and a soft mix. The hotel was quaint with the Western motif. A unique check in process, can’t say I ever stayed somewhere where my name was on a board pegged outside the closed office.
It's hard to give a good rating when the coffee makernhas a used filter.
The bed was very high, making it hard to get i to. It had a box speing, matrress, and a four inch piece of foam on top of that. The sheet would not stay on and the foam made your body roll to the edge unless ypu were in the middle of the bed.
Overall the room was dingy. We had to pull away nightstands to plug in long extension cords to make the nightstand light work
There were NO tissues in the room. We had to bring tissues from our car to use.
There WAS a paper towel dispenser in the bathroom
Why, we don't know. Adjacent was a posted note warning about a delicate sewage waste system asking folks to be careful and not flush tissue, etc
Go figure.
The AC worked well. The shower got us clean. The toilet flushed.
