Unfortunately our experience of staying in this property is not the same as previous reviews. Communication with the owner was poor. I had to chase them 5 days before our departure for access details, which I finally received with 2 days to go. At the same time we were advised that to obtain the keys, I could either pay €20 to the cleaner for a meet and greet service, or drive to her home to collect them! However as the owner did not have directions to her property and the cleaner did not speak good english, it didn't leave us much of an option!
On our arrival, I contacted the cleaner to advise of our arrival time (3pm). However, when we were 30 mins from the property, she called us to say that she had to go to work and we were to meet her there to collect the keys. When driving to somewhere new, this is not ideal, but I had no option!
We feel that the description of the apartment is misleading, as in places the interior is looking a tired and in need of some TLC. In the kitchen the edging strips on the wall units are all peeling off; the unit door to the washing machine does not shut properly and gets knocked by the adjacent drawers when opening and the bottom shelf in the fridge was broken. In the second bedroom, the vinyl covering on the headboards are ripped and peeling. In the master bedroom, one of the sliding wardrobe doors is misaligned on the runners, so do not open properly.
Outside, of the 2 sun loungers provided (surely there should be 4 for a 4 bed apartment), one was broken. Two of the 6 chairs to the dining table had damaged arms, one of which has a screw protruding upwards (we only noticed this after a number of days). There is also a collection of broken furniture at the side of the terrace: a sunbed, parasol and a couple of parasol bases.
I emailed the owner on the day of our arrival of the main issues (the broken sunlounger & the fridge), as we didn't want to be billed for damage we hadn't caused. I received a response after 24 hours, advising that the fridge was a known issue and they would try and source a replacement sunlounger. When chased for an update a couple of days later, I was asked if I could assist in shopping for a suitable replacement, email photos before making a purchase, at my expense to be reimbursed later. I politely declined. After 5 days, we finally borrowed one from the pool area.
Most of the issues highlighted were advised to the owner during our stay, but there is definite room for improvement.
