"This is the second time we stay at this beautiful place. Great location, comfortable rooms, good food, and most importantly amazing staff that always go the extra mile to make your stay a special one. Special thanks go to Mr. José Mendez who always makes sure that all guests are having a wonderful time. Furthermore, the swimming pool is very nice and heated, and we really enjoyed the mini-golf and the little steam next to it. "

The receptionist's approach to the issue was not very nice, no apology and that I should have checked my messages, so it was my fault that I went to the hotel to check-in (?!). "A pleasant quinta on the edge of the furniture capital of Portugal. Pool and gym enjoyed by local residents as well as guests. Easy relaxed location after days of shopping."

"It was a great weekend in Adelaide Hotel! We went to bike event (Granfondo do Gerês), and the experience great! Staff was super nice and they allow us to check-out later, because of the event! So nice, next year, I will return again for sure! "

"The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was compact but used the space well. We tried the outdoor pool but it was unheated and cool for being at the end of a hot summer. The indoor Roman bath was better. We normally don’t get breakfast through the hotels we stay at , but did here because of the reviews. It was an extensive breakfast so we were happy we did this. I would fully recommend this hotel. It is a short 2 minute walk to old town. "

He reallocated us to a sister property with a lower star rating (Hotel do Paço by Vima Hotels) nearby which by the way was not nice and not even close to what we originally booked. They were not very keen in helping with the invoicing procedure, I wanted to get the difference in rate refunded and while I had to contact Expedia (who were very helpful) our presence was just ignored in the reception without even a glass of water. The receptionist from the sister hotel wouldn't wait for us, she was very rude over the phone with her colleague and left leaving the key in a locker. Having to deal with this after a full day tiring trip was not really what we expected. Of course, overbookings can happen in every hotel, that is not the point, the point was the customer service this property provided and the friendliness which just did not exist."
