"Its a quiet rural area. Peaceful and relaxing. The little hamlet is walkable. Restaurants, groceries and attractions near by. We loved this so much we booked it 3 separate times on this holiday. The host was truly a genuine and committed host. That is a rare quantity. There are many professional hosts, but this host is truly considerate of each guest."

"The property itself is faultless. The staff were amiable and went out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Our only criticism would be the area surrounding the property. It was extremely dirty and unkempt but we appreciate that this is out of their control. Transport is limited in the area as the property is located a long way from the centre."

"The rooms are modern and very clean and comfortable. As a solo female traveler I also felt very safe here and could walk around to the market, bakery and restaurants easily. I really enjoyed my stay and it was nice to have a shared kitchen where I could store food in a fridge and make coffee each morning. The staff is very friendly a responsive and helpful. They even gave me a ride to the train station when I left Catania. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to my friends and family."

"The property is a little difficult to find as the town restricts signage. There is a small sign near the door with is on the main street. The office is located on the send floor which can be reached by an elevator. The staff was extremely helpful, and the hotel is located in the center of town making everything very convenient. The room was very nice. Would definitely stay here again. "

Luxury villa with pool on the slopes of Etna

Well appointed base for Etna exploration

"Villa Nel Monte was a great property with lots of character and different spaces to enjoy. Hosts were communicative and welcoming. The location is a short ~20-30 min drive to key locations around Etna, and very close to vineyards. We chose it for it’s location a little out of Nicolosi, but it was an easy (although not on pavements) 10 min walk into the town for dinner, drinks, or late-night gelato! Domestic dogs do bark as you go by, but that’s normal for the type of area. The barking kept some of us up the first night, but I think we got used to it. The kitchen had everything we could need, including incredible welcome gifts including a homemade cake, olive oil, limoncello, and a huge basket of blood oranges in the fridge! The house came with a cat (outdoors) and its kitty friends, which my son loved, but someone with a cat allergy might find challenging if they want to spend a lot of time in the garden. Overall we had a great time and happily spent a whole day just at the Villa. With swings, see-saw, pool, table-football, etc there was plenty to keep everyone busy! Thanks to the hosts for a great stay!"
