Capture Eugene with a unique cozy experience situated in the heart of the University of Oregon Athletics and much of what natural habitat prevails in the valley. Gracefully placed on a natural waterway with paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, and a Hobie Cat. this 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home will accommodate in many ways to include morning coffee on the beach, evening swim in the pool, or relax from your hot tub view. There is much wildlife to keep you entertained as well. You will be in short walking distance to Autzen Stadium, PK Park, Pape field for football, soccer, lacrosse, and baseball. There is a nationally competitive BMX track nearby. The infamous Pre's trail gives you access to a series of runs and avenues to all university events and shopping. There are 2 bikes for a spin downtown to the farmers market or to the infamous Hayward Field 15 min ride. Sit on the sandy beach early morning with your coffee cheering on runners or embrace that fine cabernet as the sunsets over the water. We welcome you to our quite home and our daily experience with Eugene.

Sweet Spot!
This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location along the Willamette Parkway with every amenity. The pool was fabulous, kayaking and wildlife amazing, and the host was wonderful. The home was very comfortable! We would definitely stay here again.

Family Gathering Place
We needed a place to gather with family who live in Eugene. This was the ideal place. The home is very welcoming and the outdoor options are amazing. There are kayaks, the pool, the hot tub, the fire pit, and areas to play games and sit and talk. Inside and out, this home is perfect for memories.

A fantastic location for Oregon gathering
We were lucky enough to book this gorgeous home for Oregon Family Weekend with 3 other couples. The house itself is amazing and comfortable and has lots of space so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The location is so perfect and we were able to walk to and from the stadium and not have to worry about parking or traffic. The kitchen is well stocked and perfect for eating chili after the football game. We will definitely be back!

Stunning home and location!
We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Del Root and will definitely be back! It was the perfect location to walk to a game at Autzen, we had some nice weather for part of our stay and enjoyed the canoe, kayaks, and paddle board and on the cooler evenings, the hot tub was perfect! We had a very minor issue come up and the owner took care of it immediately! We loved everything about our stay and the Roots were excellent hosts! Don’t pass on this rental!

A little slice of heaven in Eugene
This property has a wonderful location in Eugene, and a very nice property owner. I went to the UofO, and never knew this neighborhood on the river even existed. It was wonderful to sit by the river every evening, and with a pool included. Great spot!

Fantastic Property
We don't usually stay at the same property twice, but this was our second stay here because we loved it so much and this stay was better than the first. We definitely plan to return again. Amazing place and the perfect location to spend a weekend with some old friends! Idyllic setting with all the amenities (pool, hot tub, paddle boards, kayaks, etc.) to enjoy! We took the short walk to/from the stadium on game day and skipped the traffic. Host was gracious and helpful!

Second time and just as great
We visited two years ago, had a ball, and our return trip was even better. Shawn is a fantastic host and his house is the BEST. More than enough space for our full crew of two sets of grandparents, parents and kid. We spent three full days swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding and hot-tubbing. Nothing could be better. Perfect Getaway!
Shawn is the perfect host. He is welcoming, receptive and super cool. As is his house. Sitting on the porch watching all of the human and animal wildlife pass by on the river was extremely entertaining. The house was built for entertaining. We couldn't have been happier. Wonderful and relaxing
We had a lot of family together here - 12 people. There was enough room for us all to gather together when we wanted. And also plenty of areas for people to have their own space when they wanted. Even though the temperatures stayed in the 70's, that pool got a LOT of use - as did the hot tub. Thanks Shawn

Wedding Party “Honeymoon”
Our beach resort Honeymoon was canceled due to Covid. My husband and I along with our wedding party (my best friend and my brother) wanted somewhere we could stay in and still have a good time. Casa de Root was perfect! We grocery shooed and made dinners in, spent time in the pool, kayaked/paddle boarded in the waterway behind the property, played games and hot tubbed! It was exactly what we were looking for in a Covid vacation!

Hosted clients at Shawn’s property for the World Track & Field Championships and wow did this property exceeded our expectations for a impeccably clean, trendy, roomy, comfortable and entertaining property! My clients loved the array of property activities (bikes, paddle boards, canoes and kayaks) to the relaxing patio with a private beach, pool and jacuzzi!! And with the famous Prefontaine running trail directly across the canal from the property, imagining holding client presentations and strategy sessions with World and Olympic Champions running by in the background was our reality!!! Cannot recommend this property enough for a visit to Eugene and the University of Oregon 😊

Incredible!
Shawn's house was everything my family and I could have hoped for and more! The location is unbeatable with the water access, available kayaks and bikes, and AMAZING bike trails!! We went kayaking everyday and jumped in the pool everyday too!! This place has it all! The house itself is beautiful and fun, with thoughtful touches everywhere. The kitchen was a blast to cook in, the hammock chairs in the living room were so comfy, the pool and patio areas were so relaxing. We were never in want of anything. Shawn is absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to make our stay incredible.
