Great location, roomy historic property
Our stay at the High Street house was over a January weekend. It was initially a bit chilly but with the heaters turned on the place warmed up very nicely and was very comfortable the whole weekend. Notable things about the property: Three full bedrooms with very comfortable beds. No dressers, tables or chairs in any of the bedrooms that I recall but there are closets in each. New linens. Full kitchen, with four-burner range and full oven plus full-see fridge. Plenty of plates, bowls, glasses and silverware. Pots and pans, etc for any cooking needs.
Stairway to the second floor where two bedrooms are is narrow. Bonus extra room upstairs, too. Bathroom has a clawfoot tub which is also where you take showers. The water heater is big enough to handle the tub, too. Impressive :-) Key things we liked about the property: size and layout of the living room. Nice comfortable furnishings there. Good beds. Full kitchen. Laundry room with washer and dryer to use (and detergent). Location location location. We parked and never drove during our stay. Walked to 2-3 different coffee places and 2-3 different places for food and drinks. Yes, the train runs nearby, but even though I am a light sleeper I was never bothered by it.
