"I loved my stay at Mercure and wouldn't hesitate in using them again. The staff were clear in making sure I knew which services were available and the bed was so comfortable. Kitchen closed at 8pm on the night of my stay but using Deliveroo and waiting outside was no problem."

"This is a really beautiful place to stay, the room was lovely and very comfy. It was nice to stay somewhere a bit different and felt very special. On the way to our room the corridor/stair well did have a few cobwebs with dead flies in, but I did laugh as it was in theme with it being an old quirky place! It didn’t put me off staying, and the room and bathroom were both very clean. The breakfast was amazing, though the staff do clear up quick, and take your cutlery! Therefore if you want seconds you have to ask for another set, I think this should be either put out for people to get on the side, or given when the old set are taken away. We will definitely be back again. "

"With a family member in the Horton Hospital whately hotel was in a great location to be close by, a 2-minute drive. The hotel has its own free car park through the entryway passage toward the rear of the hotel. I must say I was glad we were in our small car. I pulled in the wing mirrors.. We found access from the parking lot to the garden and into the main building to the front desk. Check-in was straightforward, and we were in the cosy twin room (room 50 overlooking the garden) within a few minutes. After doing a quick check of the room amenities happy to find everything working and clean. The bathroom was great, feat a big overhead shower and a hot bathroom radiator, along with big fluffy bath towels. There was a massive range of TV channels great for relaxing in bed. The ladies at dinner were lovely, a small but nice menu to choose from. The breakfast buffet was okay. Work is ongoing at the hotel, and there were workmen in and around the building during the days. We’re back in a week so really hoping for a similar good experience! :)"

"Booked a single room en/route to an event, room at attic level So a climb of multiple flights of stairs but all good as room clean, small as expected, good quality linen and towering, comfortable single bed, ample clothes hanging space. Room bery compact but has compact, clean and modern en-suite with effective shower cubicle, we and sink. carpet is stained in multiple areas in room but for the price and location, and convenience, cannot fault. Breakfast also included with an 8.25am sitting. Cannot fault and will stay again. "
