House with large saltwater pool fabulous views firepit on acreage close to Byron

Byron Bay Vista Lodge is a beautiful well-equipped 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom house with a large saltwater pool and fabulous views set in a tranquil location, privately apart from the main house on 2 acres of semi-tropical trees and landscaped gardens in Ewingsdale's premier Bay Vista Lane.

Only 5 minutes drive from Byron Bay beaches, markets and town centre with its world-class entertainment (4 nightclubs and 3 hotels with live bands most nights) fabulous dining, surfing and famous Byron Bay culture. The Lodge is close to wedding venues at Ewingsdale Hall, the Figtree Restaurant, The Farm and Victoria's at Ewingsdale, and is just a short drive down the freeway to the Bluesfest and Splendour festivals, however the Lodge itself is not a party house. The heritage towns of Bangalow and Mullumbimby are a short drive away and also offer quality restaurants, shops and a weekly farmers market for fresh, local, organic produce.

Escape the hustle and bustle of Byron and relax in the hammock on the private, spacious, high-ceilinged deck, set amongst beautiful gum trees with visiting koalas or lie on comfy wooden sunbeds by the large, saltwater pool. Enjoy melodic birdsong and panoramic ocean and rural views stretching all the way from Julian Rocks and Byron Bay lighthouse to the lush green hinterland hills of St Helena.

Swimming at night in the large saltwater pool beneath a star studded sky, by a white dolphin statue & tiger headed wall, among the shimmering rainbows generated by the underwater pool lights, is a truly memorable experience.

Byron Bay Vista Lodge

The Lodge comfortably sleeps 4 adults but can also sleep an extra person on a sofa bed in the downstairs bedroom. Both bedrooms have 2 king size single beds that can be hooked and zipped together to make a king size double.

Downstairs is a large, private, terracotta-tiled master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in robe and access to the garden and firept. Upstairs the second bedroom has fitted mirrored wardrobes and easy access to the lodge's kitchen, dining and entertainment areas.

The dining area with New Zealand pine table, chairs and well stocked bookcase adjoins the well-equipped kitchen of recycled Tasmanian oak with black impala granite benchtops and gas and stainless steel appliances.

The lounge is comprised of 3 comfortable leather sofas with matching acacia coffee tables and sideboard stocked with DVDs, toys and games. Original paintings, a brass lamp, a large digital TV, all set upon polished blackbutt wooden floors and a colourful hand-knotted persian rug.

The large wrap around, covered, spotted gum deck has a ceiling fan, dimmer lights, gas BBQ, outdoor hard wood furniture and great views. Overhead fans throughout the lodge and gentle ocean breezes keep you cool in summer and all windows and doors are fully screened and lockable.

Services available

Complimentary tea, coffee, soap & washing detergents are provided on arrival.

We are pet friendly, a gate at the end of the Lodge walkway prevents pets from roaming.
A new fire pit is now available for Lodge guests
Sorry but no schoolies or parties.

Wonderful place
The Lodge is so peaceful and quiet. The balcony is a wonderful place to start and end the day. The beach and Byron town centre is only 10 minutes so it really is a wonderful blend of country and coast! The owners Steve and his wife are very responsive and caring. The lodge and main house are next door to each other yet cleverly designed for maximum privacy between the houses. The master suite is downstairs with it's own lounge and ensuite, with direct access to the huge acreage backyard. After my friend had to visit the local emergency hospital (5 mins away) Steve's wife popped in to see if we needed anything even though she wasn't admitted and was discharged after a few hours. The pool was refreshing during the humid days when the beach was a bit too windy. Looking forward back for another stay.

Ewingsdale is a beautiful place to stay, close to Byron, but quiet and peaceful. The accomodation is very comfortable and has a lovely outdoor deck overlooking the property. Our Cavoodle loved the dog friendly beaches nearby and overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely dog-friendly lodge
This lodge was lovely, has a big porch for a dog and outdoor dining. I stayed here with my family from NZ and they loved it. Short 5 min drive to Byron. Lovely walking areas in the streets surrounding. Lovely birds in trees in front of lodge. Host is great and responds to messages quickly. We had intermittent wifi access but host came and sorted the issue.

Ewingsdale
Great location to discover Byron Bay and the surrounding areas. Great and helpful host but sad to say the property is very dated/antiquated and not kept in a clean condition at all. Bathroom accessories like shampoo and shower gels were non-existent........what looked like previously used soap bars were offered instead. Beds were uncomfortable with extremely old and stained pillows (under the pillowcases) and mattresses. The property can be very nice if upated/modernised and thotoughly cleaned up.

Quiet location not too far away from the main town. Big open space but be mindful that the grounds are hilly and steep to walk around. Plus there is stairs between the main bedroom and living areas

Perfect accommodation for us. 4 adults and our border collie. Beautiful outlook from deck with bbq and table and chairs. Only 10 minutes in to Byron and 15 minutes to Bangalow. Plenty of room for our BC to run around. Pool is huge and clean, just needs some renovating.

A beautiful oasis close to Byron
This is such a lovely retreat. We felt as if we were staying at a resort- the saltwater pool is divine, the house itself like a treehouse, up in the rainforest. All this and Byron is just a few minutes drive away. Heaven! Can’t wait to go back- thanks Steve and Helen for a wonderful stay :)

Ewingsdale elevation
Was lovely to stay at Steve’s guest house. The main deck feels like a tree house extension as your greeted by the huge gum trees half way up the tree. Makes it so peaceful. Our husky had a safe and relaxing time having the deck to move about freely on. The bedrooms are spacious and well separated providing that much needed solitude and peace at night. Great value and highly recommend.

A comfortable house with a large garden and grounds. We loved the timber fittings and spacious bedrooms. Ewingsdale is a well established area with large allotments. Lots of birds visiting the beautiful trees. Excellent view from the verandah. Totally relaxing and peaceful surroundings. A short drive to Byron Bay and Bangalow. Recommended!

Great place to stay while visiting the Byron Bay area, nice to be away from the hussle and bussle of Byron itself, yet only a short drive away. Nice views across the the lighthouse and complete privacy while at the lodge. Steve was super friendly and check in and out was super easy. Hope to stay again when next visiting the area,
