"My family and I had a wonderful stay at York cottage. There are several cottages so it felt like a tiny hamlet. Having access to the beautiful hotel grounds was a bonus, especially with having our dog with us. Inside the property was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Super clean, well equipped and with very comfortable beds. "This cottage is represented well by the photographs on the website. It had everything we needed for our stay. We are two adults and two children (15, 12) and there was adequate room for us all. There were no issues with parking directly outside the property, we managed to get a space everytime. Helmsley is a lovely place, everyone was very friendly. This cottage was an excellent base for exploring the nearby area."

"My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!"
