"This guy needs to communicate with guests better. I requested how to get in the day before, then twice the morning of my arrival. I didn't hear from him until 2:30 pm and check in was at 3. I was in Braga at that point and had to go wait in a cafe until I got his email. (It was raining) When I showed up at the place, a couple was outside trying to get in. Then later, after I returned around 8 pm, another couple was outside who couldn't get in. I let them in."

Because it was an old stone house the availability of electrical outlets for charging phones etc and for appliances was very limited. Perhaps the charm of an old house. "Fantastic place to stay. The hotel grounds were absolutely amazing with the best views. You can see and fell the history. The hotel is open to explore and has multilingual signs to explain the history. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Parking lot outside was huge so very easy to park and secure. The hotel restaurant was delicious with good options. Breakfast was also perfect. Transportation is a bit scarce, however the bus outside the property was easy, also can walk to the village if you prefer a stroll, about 2km downhill. The return walk was challenging uphill. Would highly recommend. Will stay here again. "

"The staff and service is excellent. The individual rooms are a distance away from the lobby/restaurant, which I didn’t like so much. That, however, is secondary to the excellent staff and the large comfortable rooms. The wine tasting was extremely well done."
