"We really enjoyed our stay at Highland Manor. We were a group of early-40s professionals from the DC area and New River Gorge was our "friends trip" this year. It was awesome! "Our group of 5 adults really enjoyed our stay. Centrally located for the sites we wanted to see, restaurants, convenience store, gas, all right there. The 5th bedroom advertised only had a crib but we made due. 3 story house, plenty of stairs obviously, railings could use some tlc but that's about it. Property was spotless and comfortable; our group would definitely stay here again. "

"The house was very nice, roomy, and well maintained. The road leading in is narrow (which is expected for mountain roads), but the drive had plenty of parking. We throughly enjoyed watching the deer every morning and evening. Even though the trail head is farther than advertised (13 miles instead of 3 miles), the drive via SxS was very nice. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we hope to see y’all again. "
