The refridgerator had stopped working when we arrived and the owners replaced it with a brand new one within a couple of hours. "On a motorcycle tour of Scandinavia we stayed in around 15 different hotels - this was a real favourite. It was slightly out of season, so fairly quiet even though it looks like it could handle a lot of guests comfortably (I imagine it's sometimes used for weddings). Our room was superb - very recently refurbished (still had that slight "new carpet" smell) and was finished to a very high standard. Very spacious, with a large bathroom and even a little entrance lobby. Each room has it's own door out on to a square courtyard which makes for a really nice environment - no long gloomy corridors here! The dinner is buffet style, but it's good quality, as was the breakfast. If you have time, there's a river down some steps at the back of the main building (beyond the sauna). There are several little streams and bridges so it's a lovely place to explore. Staff were all really friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely time."
