The Park House - Sleeps 10 - New & Gauley River Rafting - Bridge Day is 10-19-24

The Park House Est. 2024 is a newly remodeled house featuring 3-bedrooms with firm mattresses and 2-full baths that will sleep10 individuals comfortably with use of the sectional in the living room. A spacious master bedroom with a queen-size bed, dresser, closet, TV and a couple of chairs. The master bathroom offers a walk-in shower with beautiful tilework and Bluetooth speaker to listen to your favorite music. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, a double-size bunk bed (due to age/weight regulations of the bunkbed, only 1 child is permitted to sleep on the top bunk) dresser, closet and TV. The third bedroom also has a queen-size bed, dresser, closet, TV and an additional chair for seating. The hallway bathroom offers a tub/shower combo with linen closet for that extra storage you may need. (All bed linens including extra pillows, blankets, bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths are provided for our guests).

The living room has plenty of seating with a lovely sectional and extra chairs for you to stream your favorite movies/shows on the 65" screen TV with 1 Gig internet or enjoy watching FUBO which has been downloaded for your convenience. Speaking of kitchen, this one is a dream! The "live-edge shelving and bars" are what makes this kitchen remarkable. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a 5-burner gas stove/oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, beverage cooler, microwave and plenty of cookware.... and dishes for the smaller kiddos. Surrounding the appliances are beautiful soft-close Kraft Maid cabinets with gorgeous black-copper granite countertops. The "live edge" bar offers plenty of seating next to the dining table where delicious meals for the entire family or friendly get-togethers happen. (All cookware including small appliances, dishes, utensils, children's dishes and the essentials for making a great cup of coffee are provided for our guests).

The Laundry room provides our guests with a stand-up washer/dryer and utility sink for washing out your shoes after a day on the river. We provide laundry detergent pods, dryer sheets, and some basic cleaning supplies including a Swiffer, broom/dust pan, bleach wipes, trash bags, paper towels. There is also a table top ironing board with iron and a wire shelf making it convenient for holding the household supplies. We thought you may like to hang certain clothing on hangers to air dry, so we have just the thing and think you'll like it in the Laundry Room. However, the Garage is not accessible at this time.

The large back yard is completely fenced so the kiddos can run around freely while the grown ups sit around the firepit. The new gravel walkway is simply beautiful making it an easy walk to brand new Firepit or simply "sit for a spell on the back porch". You may enjoy playing some outdoors games that are provided like Cornhole, Croquet, Ladder-Ball or Basketball (across the street at the park) and the kiddos may like the Board Games. Maybe grill some steaks and burgers for the entire crew on the outdoor grill one evening. Yum!!! Speaking of Firepit, don't forget the smores! You can light a fire with everyone sitting around talking about the day's events, eat some smores or roast marsh mellows while relaxing and gazing at the stars.

The Park House is centrally located in the coolest, small town of Historic Fayetteville, West Virginia that is part of the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve!!! With tons of experiences just waiting for you, family, and friends, you won't be disappointed. With the Fayetteville Town Park directly across the street features Baseball & Softball Fields, Fitness Trail, Skate Park, Bump Track, Park Loop Hiking Trail and the brand-new Splashpad for the kiddos. Just a short drive away you'll find Zip Lining, Rock Climbing, Bridge Walk, ATV & Side by Side Tours, Mountain Biking, Swimming, Horseback Riding, Fishing Tours, Bridge Haven Golf Club, Summersville Lake and much, much more. Looking for a little more excitement? Fayetteville is just a few minutes away from some of the best Whitewater Rafting on the New River and Gauley River. Rafting trips on the New River run Spring thru Fall and the magnificent Gauley River offers rafting trips mid-September and October only. Both rivers are class IV rivers offering half day and full day trips filled with excitement and memories to be made.

Thinking about going out for dinner? Fayetteville has plenty of delicious restaurants within a half mile walking distance or a short drive to all that Fayetteville has to offer. Be sure to check out the local shops and other attractions during your visit and don't forget to take the kiddos downtown for ice cream. So come and visit Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia and before you leave, you'll be singing our state song. "Take me home Country Roads, to the place I belong, West Virginia, Mountain Mama, take me home Country Roads".

Perfect location for our girls' weekend
I and two friends drove in from Pittsburgh, Asheville, and Charlotte. Fayetteville was the perfect meeting place, and we found this house met our needs well. The home is in a great, quiet location and it was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. I actually appreciated that there are no carpets or rugs. The host left very helpful notes throughout the house which clearly answered any questions. Our only suggestions for future enhancements would be the addition of some table lamps for reading (and ambience) in the evenings, more opaque window coverings in the bedrooms, and a full length mirror somewhere in the house. But those are minor points. We were very pleased overall. Thank you!!!

Great location & very clean
Great house, nicely decorated had all the amenities needed. I think the only thing that could be upgraded would be the 2 main beds. We have stayed in many VRBO rentals and the #1 thing we look for is a comfortable bed. Other than the bed the house was wonderful. comfortable bed.

Attractive, Extremely Clean Property in Great Location
225 Park Dr. was extremely clean. It was attractively decorated in a modern-rustic style. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need. The laundry facilities were a bonus. Everything at the property was well thought out and made our visit comfortable from the extra pillows and blankets to the well stocked toilet paper supply; the owner-supplied shampoo and soap; and the board games and lawn games. We made use of the backyard firepit and supplied wood. We loved the location of the property. It was walking distance (about mile or so) to many restaurants and shops in downtown Fayetteville as well as quick drive (about 10 minutes) to New River Gorge. The park across the street had basketball courts, a playground and a walking path around the whole park - perfect for an after dinner stroll. I have one complaint and one recommendation. I thought the thermostat was difficult to figure out. It was cool enough in the evening to open the windows and i was unable to figure out how to turn off the air conditioning. My suggestion would be to replace the queen bed with a king in the primary bedroom. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this property to others and would stay here again.

Great place to stay.
The Park House is a very clean and comfortable place to stay. Everything one would need. The park across the street is great to get in some exercise and let the children run off some energy. Shopping was close by. Mae was easy to contact and very pleasant. Would stay here again.

Adorable house in a great location
The Park House is a newly renovated home directly across the street from the local park. The house was very comfortable and were able to do a lot of cooking — they thought of everything! And the cute downtown area was easily walkable for the meals we didn’t want to fix ourselves. The host was very hospitable and obviously a local who is (rightfully) very proud of the town and the areas. They reached out to help us make the most of our stay. One of my best VRBO experiences!

Good place to hike from
This house is on the edge of Fayetteville. The town is small so you are 3 to 8 minutes from anywhere by car. We ate out two nights and there are at least two solid restaurants in town. The house is close to the New River Gorge Bridge. If you like hiking, the trail starts in the park across the street. You can go out and walk the one mile look, or venture out for 20 miles and nearly anything in between. This is a roomy ranch house with a large kitchen and large back yard. We enjoyed some hiking, rafting, and the fire pit out back.
