"I really enjoyed my stay as a solo traveller. I felt safe in the hotel and the surrounding area, it’s also really convenient to walk to many of the key areas - Carmo Convent, Commercial square, Lisbon Cathedral and Castle. "Beautiful hotel in the center of Baixa, the best location in town walking distance everywhere. nice flat walking around town and you can even walk to Alfama with its steep streets. Excelent service and ample and comfortable room. We got upgraded to a junior suite and were welcome with a bottle of wine, porto, chocolates and of course pastel de nata. "We stayed for 5 nights every staff member went above and beyond during our stay. They suprised my wife on her birthday with cake and a bottle of wine which was really thoughtfull. We stayed half board both the breakfast and evening meal offerings were great with a wide selection of food. The staff were very attentive every day. Hotel rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. Very close to metro stations which made travel around lisbon. Would happily stay again. "

"This was in an excellent and safe location for getting anywhere in the city, and Manuel shared all the necessary stops in town. The bus for the airport and the metro for Old Town were steps away from the front door. The rooms were spacious, clean, and relaxing. The breakfast and host Anna were exceptional. And it was no problem sharing access to the bathroom with the other rooms. We highly recommend Republica and would love to visit again! "
