Gran Hotel de Ferrol

The Gran Hotel de Ferrol was extremely well positioned close to town. The hotel was looking new and modern; the comfort and cleanliness and daily serving of our room was faultless. The breakfast spread of food and drink was also excellent and helped by the happy, smiling and helpful staff.

It was a great one-night stay at the hotel. The room was comfortable and the atmosphere was pleasant. The restaurant wasn’t particularly impressive, but it was convenient, and we enjoyed the live music on Friday night. Breakfast is available for €14 (continental), but we opted to walk to Café Cebra on the corner instead — a lovely spot for a simple and relaxing breakfast.

Bad wifi in rooms and short of personnel

The stay was fine. The hotel is good for tge price but the wifi wasn't good in the room. If you plan to work in the room, you'll need to use your own mobile data I called the reception to ask for an item and they told me that I had to go down myself to the reception to pick it because it was the only available person in the hotel. Such a big hotel and only one person for service. Incredible

Great place to start your Camino

A great stop before starting our journey on the Camino Ingles. The reception is open 24 hours a day, so when we arrived at 1am, it was great to be welcome so warmly.

The hallways were extremely dark and lights didn’t come on until you walked past them. It felt very eerie. The staff was not particularly helpful or friendly. My friends had to switch rooms because their room had not been cleaned.
