"Beautiful and unique hotel with an authentic B&B aesthetic, a cozy room with a comfy bed and very friendly service. The breakfast was also very tasty. The hotel is in an old house, so noise suppression is not the best, but that is something that just comes with the territory. HĂ€meenlinna is a pretty quiet town, so outside noises are not a problem. Heartily recommended as an alternative to more boring and conventional hotels. "

"there is no bed sheets you have to pay for it. the staff/owner are quite rude when we asked for bed sheet they throw it on our child's stroller. the toilet is not in the room and it is dry toilet means it smelled always terrible. the rooms even were not dark enough to sleep poor curtains. it is an old granny farm house. because it was only a night in middle of a road trip i would have overlooked everything but the attitude we were received with was extremely unwelcoming and rude I wont recommend...

"Absolutely loved the atmosphere! Old school turned into a hotel, wood-fired sauna in its own building, food and herbs from their own garden. Bathtub was good-sized, bed was surprisingly comfortable and I personally loved that I could open the windows in my suite. Little bit of creaking here and there, but it didn't bother me. "Original Sokos Vaakuna is a gem near the train station in Helsinki. The decor is charmingly restored vintage, everything I. Great condition. Very worthwhile to get a superior room on the 9th floor for amazing views and your own balcony overlooking the city. The 10th floor bar has even more incredible views with slightly higher than average cocktail prices but totally worth it. You can order a few menu items there at the bar and I recommend the creamy salmon soup- a good portion of grilled salmon with cooked vegetables in a milk and butter broth. The location is great for arriving by train (or by commuter train from the airport) and for walks to the Esplanadi, the waterfront, shopping and dining and to the design district."
