"This motel has decent provisions with a kitchenette, large bed and good sized bathroom. Its nice park close to your room door so luggage transfer is a breeze. Nice to sit out on your own patio or the larger table in the lawn. Laundry facility worked out well. The front desk hostess was helpful with suggestions of places to eat and shop in town. The motel is within walking distance of the waterfront, national park visitor center and restaurant/shopping district. "

"Access to the lake was a 3 minute walk. Short drive to Te Anau. Requested a two bed room - given a one bed. When we changed to a two bed room there wasn’t a pillow for one bed. No tee towel or dish cloth. Small table needed a good cleaning. "

"We loved our stay! Had been there many years ago and as charming as ever. Room overlooked lake and beds were comfortable. Excellent Christmas Day buffet. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Te Anu which is much more convenient to Milford and Doubtful Sound than Queenstown."

Full of character and fun, and some interesting/delightful room options topped with a fabulous breakfast. We’ll definitely be back and will try to get the railway carriage!"

"The tea and coffee provided in the room were poor- powdered with creamer and sugar. we'd prefer them unmixed and fresh milk to be available. Otherwise, good and a great outlook of the lake"
