While I can appreciate the decorating and obvious effort made in updating the cottage, the basics were neglected. We visited in February, very cold at night. The electrical system only allowed one "window heater/AC" on at a time. You could have hung meat in there when we arrived. No heat on at all. It took hours to warm up to the 60's. The window heater did not operate at all in the back bedroom. Had to move the lone space heater around to heat bathrooms, etc.
Bed frames were propped up with paint cans and plastic bins due to broken bed slates. This did not work well. There was only ONE extra blanket found. Dirty wet towel on the shower floor along with someone's used razor. No hand towels, no wash cloths. Seemed we were expected to avail ourselves of previously used net scrubby poofs hanging from a hook. Floors had dirt and hair through out. Trash in the form of empty food boxes/containers, crumbs and debris in the kitchen cabinets and drawers, nasty pots/pans, poorly stocked utensils. Don't pull out the old school wooden bread board in the kitchen, it had layers of food on it.
Could be a cute place if electrical was upgraded and a couple of mini-splits were installed along with attention to details.
