The home was beautiful and had all the comforts of home. The home is just a couple of miles outside Lunenburg proper, and it was easy enough to drive into town. It sits on a beautiful cove, and we got to see an abundance of different varieties of birds, including cormorants, loons and bald eagles. My family thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and spending time together in this home.
The owners were very knowledgeable of the area and made some great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They were also very responsive to any issues that we had.
A couple of things to note: Nova Scotia has a very strict burning policy, and you need to log onto the local websites to check if it is even possible to have a campfire in the beautiful fire pit. The water to the home has a little bit of a smell to it, due to how it is collected, filtered and used. Although the owner assured us it was safe, we chose to use bottled water for all food preparation and drinking. Also, while we were able to use the dryer, the washing machine was off limits, so we had to use the local laundromat for doing laundry.
