The staff at check in were amazing , very thoughtful and understanding. It was my Birthday yesterday and I had a breakfast cake and Happy Birthday sang to me then upon returning from our day out , I received a bottle of fizz and lovely displayed chocolates. I look forward to visiting Florence again and definitely will not consider booking a room at this property again due to this terrible experience. The room was disappointing in so many ways. While many rooms and bathrooms were renovated at this property, not all of them were. Unfortunately, I was in a room that was not updated. Cleanliness was a problem in the bathroom; it was not well cleaned or maintained. Many tiles were cracked and broken. There was pink mildew throughout in the shower and the only outlet in the bathroom was non-functioning. Despite using an outlet adapter, the other outlets in the room were loose and the hair dryer repeatedly fell out of the socket. Worst of all, water was shut off during the last day of my stay without notice from the staff. I returned for an afternoon nap and discovered this when I turned on the faucet to see low water pressure and murky orange-brown water slowly flowing out. (No, I wasn't able to take a shower. Fortunately, I was moving onto another hotel the next day for the next part of my trip!) Another room was never offered nor made available throughout my stay. I was in the same room the entire time (4 nights) and housekeeping didn't address the cleanliness issues. While the hotel may be busy with a conference being held onsite during that time, that doesn't excuse the poor experience. The property was crowded and noisy, and this created a chaotic atmosphere, not a calming or relaxing experience for a vacation.

8 minutes walk from the train station. Clean room, comfy bed. There’s a wash and dry launderette 6 minutes walk from hotel with delivery service. If you get a bottle of wine, need to head down to the bar to open the bottle and get wine glass on your own.

i have mixed feelings about my stay here; its very very close to the train station, so very very easy walking distance between the hotel and the train station. There were lots of convenient resturants and sites......so would rarely require a taxi to go anywhere. My room was safe, but i could hear the next door; so wasn't too quiet. But i got a beautiful view from the balcony.

My family and I stayed 5 nights and 6 days. For the location being walking distance to the train station, restaurants and laundromat, this was ideal. The bed was larger than most queen size bed. Room smelled clean. There was plenty of towels in our bathroom. The complimentary drinks and snacks in our minibar was nice so was the in room coffee and hot water kettle. The water pressure in our shower was nice and strong. Only a couple negative comments, our safe in our room didn’t work throughout our stay. It couldn’t be replaced because it’s built into the closet. There was some caulking in bathtub needed to be redone. It made the shower walls look old. The female staff in the front desk wasn’t as helpful or friendly when I had asked about extending my stay and the price difference between the search engine vs hotels site. Lastly, it would been helpful if they offered bell service and had our luggage taken to our room. Because we extended our stay for 2 extra days for 2 rooms, it would have been nice if management gave us credit towards the restaurant or bar, something to show some appreciation. Location feels a little dark to be walking in the evening if traveling alone.
