"We had a wonderful time at the Saltbox house. The location was perfect to fully explore Fogo island. We loved the home itself, lovingly restored, furnished and maintained, with a great view of the bay/arm. I highly recommend this property."

"Overall the place was very nice and I would not hesitate to stay there again. However I am 6'4" tall and had to bend over to walk upstairs the ceilings are very low I would venture to guess they are only 6'-0" ceilings. All the bedrooms and the master bath are like this. I ended up using the Downstairs bath which was very nice. Again not a deal killer just be aware of this if you are over 6' tall. We used the grill it was in very nice shape and clean. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans and plates glasses etc... Only other issue was the microwave didn't work. We were late in checking out thought Checkout time was 11, which we found in other VRBO's on the Island, Yes we should have read the book. Host sent email about 10:05 informing us about the check out time we were packed and out by 10:25 They were very gracious and I apologize for the misunderstanding, totally our fault. Again wonder location and home. "

"There was nothing that I disliked. The cottage was spacious, beautifully decorated, well maintained and clean. If there was one thing that I didn’t like, was that I had to leave after 3 nights. Don’t question whether or not you’ll like this place, there is no reason not to!! If you go please enjoy!! "

"This property exceeded all of our expectations! It was beautiful, clean and well stocked. The interior felt like a luxury vacation, while also being quaint and locations appropriate (wood beams and a coastal kitchen feel). Giant windows looked out onto the harbour so it felt like you were really in a fishing village proper. It was fun watching the seagulls out the front window. I appreciated staying just outside of Twillinggate rather than in twillinggate proper, it was a homier feel and really beautiful!! If we ever go back to the area, I would be disappointed if we DIDN'T stay here again!! "

"We came to see the icebergs and enjoy the location and beautiful twillingate. We were lucky to see an iceberg in the harbour and then one at sea on a tour. It was great. The recommendations from our host for seafood were wonderful. "
