"Exceptional Service at Sugar Beach Viceroy. From the moment we arrived at Sugar Beach Viceroy, we were greeted with the warmest hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, but two individuals in particular deserve special recognition :) Darelyne, the manager, was an absolute delight. Her sweet, warm, and genuinely pleasant demeanor made every interaction feel personal and heartfelt. Her care and attention made us feel truly valued as guests. It’s rare to meet someone in hospitality who radiates such kindness while maintaining impeccable professionalism — she is a true gem. We also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. James, who surprised us with an incredible upgrade at no additional cost. This thoughtful gesture elevated our experience and allowed us to enjoy the beauty of Sugar Beach in an even more special way. "My husband and I got married here and stayed for a week as well back in April of this year. This resort exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The staff here are absolutely amazing. Valna and Katrina helped with our stay and our wedding. Everything went extremely smooth and they checked in on us every step of the way. The restaurant staff took the time to remember our names and treated us like family. The food was outstanding as well. They have security at the front of the resort so you are safe here. A short walk to the reception area and they will help plan whatever activity you want to do and arrange a taxi. The rooms were kept extremely clean and you have netting around your bed in case you’re worried about bugs. However we didn’t have any issues with insects whatsoever. Lizards you will see everywhere but they’re harmless! We’re already planning a trip back!"

"The three wall concept was unique, providing unobstructed views. The staff was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. The menu changed a couple times a week providing several dining options. "

"The positives: the guest house is a truly lovely location with incredible views, plenty of space to lounge and comfy beds. There are some sweet cows that visit the grass in front and it was a treat to listen to rain falling during the brief but intense rainstorms. The view of the Piton is really impressive. When we asked for things like matches or TP Marina was responsive. The challenges: First, there are two highly reactive and vocal guard dogs at the entrance to the property that added a layer of chaos to exiting and entering the property. Guard dogs are totally a thing in Saint Lucia but it just made for a less than relaxing experience for us to have chained dogs lunging and barking at us as we came and went from home. Also, air conditioning is only in one bedroom which we didn’t realize when we booked. The majority of the space gets uncomfortably warm - at times it was warmer inside than outside - and while there is a ceiling fan it has one speed. There were many evenings where after showering we all just hung out in the one bedroom with AC for a reprieve from the humidity. Finally the laundry machine costs 30CAD to run a single load and was broken when we stayed. I don’t recall if this pricing was on the posting when we booked so it may have been an oversight on our part. Marina washed a load of clothes for us when we arrived after we explained we hadn’t been made aware of that cost, which we really appreciated. "

"Hands down, the best view in the entire country! Everything about the house is amazing and I would absolutely stay there again. Greg cleans the pool each morning and he was very kind and helpful in getting us what we needed. In terms of in-country staff and support, Greg was the highlight!We did have two issues during out stay.1.The directions we were given to the property did not reflect recent changes to landmarks and the closure of a primary road leading to the property. Google maps did not offer an alternate route to the property. We called the in-country contacts provided however none answered our call. This was quite stressful as night was approaching, and we were at a loss for what to do. Luckily a kind local woman was able to get in touch with one of the contacts and once he was engaged, he responded promptly. The property owner was also relatively quick to respond and help. 2.During our 6-night stay, housekeeping was only provided once therefore we had to actively pursue getting things like trash bags, paper towels, clean towels, etc. I would offer three key recommendations for your stay.1.Rent a car. This is a must have considering how far out the property is from town and activities.2.Only buy groceries at a Massy Grocery store.3.Bring power strips (with the correct adapters) if you have lots of devices needing chargeOverall, we were very pleased with the experience and while there was a couple hiccups, the positives far outweighed the drawbacks!"
