"We had a fantastic time at the gite in Ichis, Rémi and Roseline were very friendly hosts and Rémi gave us some excellent advice about hiking in the local area. The birdsong we heard each morning was a great start to the day. You can walk directly from the gite into the mountains or travel a short distance by car to the Gorges d’Heric where we saw Mouflons and many birds of prey. There is a nice Boulangerie in the nearby village of Prémian and the medieval town of Olargues is only 15 minutes...

"Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable en famille. Nous étions 16. La maison est très agréable et bien équipée, le site est magnifique. Seul petit bémol au moment du départ: que faisons nous des poubelles?! Impossible d’accéder au bac pour ordures ménagères car il faut une carte… les hôtes devraient peut-être laisser cette carte aux voyageurs."

"Lovely remote place to stay. Ideal if you want to enjoy quiet and peace the countryside, talking, relaxing and taking it easy. Not a place if you want TV, internet and all the modern distractions in life - go to a hotel or a villa. But that is what makes it so good. "We had the most wonderful time at Alex and Lillie’s house with our 8 month old daughter. The place is so cosy and tastefully decorated and brilliantly stocked for a family holiday. The surrounding area is heaven for walking and swimming and just generally enjoying lazy days. Alex and Lilli were always super helpful with queries before and during our stay. Look forward to returning one day!"

"This property lived up to our expectations. it is a quirky yet comfortable place to stay. My husband and I spent a month their at the beginning of Autumn, and were joined by friends for the middle 2 weeks. The house is a short drive from Olargues which has a great boulangerie, a small supermarket and a couple of very good restaurants. Its great base to explore the area and there excellent walking opportunities to suit all levels. Our host was extremely helpful with advice about the area before...

During our stay we visited Carcassonne, a medieval city-you should definitely visit at only an hour away by car. The locals were really kind and friendly.
