"The whole family loved our stay in this beautiful property. It was exceptionally clean, well equipped and decorated with great attention to detail (even down to a friendly resident squirrel!). We loved the barbeque, the jacuzzi, the pool table and the garden. Some lovely Black Forest walks are right on the doorstep. Markus and Katja were very friendly and easy to deal with. We could have stayed a lot longer - and would love to come back in colder weather to make use of the sauna and fire hut!"

"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

"We were disappointed with the property. Two rooms and up to seven guests does a lot of heavy lifting in the description. Our kids bedroom was also the shared dining room and lounge. There is also air conditioning but only in one room. It is not available in the bedroom. A washing machine is available but you have to pay extra for this which felt cheep and penny grabbing. I found the correspondence with the owner difficult and received a curt reply when seeking to clarify entry...

"The owners do not seem to use the VRBO app messages because we never got any response from them or any check/in instructions. Tried messaging multiple times. Finally got through via phone call but with limited English getting instructions for accessing the rental was challenging. If we had gotten instructions via messages we could have translated. "Excellent property. The place was perfect for us. The unit was clean and better then the pictures and descriptions. It is located in the forested hills of the northern Black forest. The town of Bad Liebenzell was just down the hill with convenient access to shops, dinning, and groceries. There are more hiking trails then you can walk. Easily located just outside of Stuttgart. The host was very pleasant, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We would stay here again. Thanks for a great stay."
