"Very convenient location, near Forio port. Quite noisy, but the windows block most of the noise. The room was super dated with furniture from the ‘70’s. Same with the bar area. The garden is nice with two thermal water pools, plus there’s a warm indoor pool. They have mud treatments and many other treatments in the spa area. "Hotel is a little older. The room was nice and it was clean. The staff did walk into our room multiple times during our stay and sometimes without knocking. They were replacing towels and such. The pools were beautiful however a ton of people were saving chairs but weren’t at the pools. That was a it frustrating. Overall a good place. "

"A lovely welcome from staff and in particular the reception staff were extremely helpful with all our enquiries. Our stay was 4 nights and we used it as a base to visit different places in the area. The bus shuttle service into Forio was welcome and we were happy to do the 20 minute walk back after supper out in Forio. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the sea views from both our room and the main hotel areas. "

"I had hopes when they were able to accommodate an early check in but was quickly let down. The stated amenities are fraudulently portrayed. There is no restaurant except at the very bottom of a cliff not on premises. The hotel is in extremely poor shape and strongly smelled of sewer. "There are nearly 30 steps to enter the building. I booked last minute not knowing it would be difficult to enter the building to receive the key. I was lucky the housekeeper was there to help me. "Thank you to Paola and Dario. This place is AMAZING! The hotel grounds have a resort feel to them and are very well kept. We were welcomed and informed every step of the way. Someone even offered to come get us at our ferry to bring us to the hotel. Paola and Dario were so friendly and they spoke English. The room and view was incredible. It’s so inviting. The grounds are stunning! I highly, highly recommend this place. If you come to Ischia you must stay here."

"A hidden gem up the Forio hillside but worth the challenging drive. Best service (management is superb with fantastic recommendations), transfers and shuttles to Local area. Excellent massages. Loved our room inside and out. Views of ocean and sunset are hard to match. Will return!"

Botania Relais & Spa - The Leading Hotels of the World.

"We would come back to Ischia just to stay here again!!!!! The hotel is wonderful! The gardens and grounds are beautiful. Our room felt like it was tucked away in a garden. Private , huge, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was the largest we had while traveling Italy. Now let’s talk about dining… Oh my gosh! Breakfast is awesome. There are so many delicious choices you might forget to go out and explore. Beautiful baked good, omelette station, Fruit, fresh granolas and big displays of their honey. And there is always a mimosas station. The service is top notch and so attentive. We ordered espresso the first morning and never had to order again it was brought when we sat down each morning. We stopped a couple of times at the small bar. The drinks were so perfect and the snacks from the chef each night were a wonderful surprise. Service was perfect. We actually had friends that stay down the hill on the water at a VERY exclusive and very expensive hotel that we invited for drinks and dinner one night. We had cocktails first and the lovely bar and the. dinner in the restaurant. They commented that our hotel was way better than theirs and the food and service was outstanding. We stayed in one rainy day for Spa and Lunch by the pool. The thermal pools are so lovely. They have several water falls that you can stand under that beats down on your neck for a nice massage. There are bubble chairs where you can relax and soak in the rich minerals. Perfect!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. All the staff were lovely and helpful. A special mention for Nicole, grandson of the owner, for his kindness and good humour. Breakfast was very good, and the thermal pools were gorgeous. Dining a la carte was a challenge for one of us but only because food containing octopus was not for that palette. Lunch is located separately from the evening dining rooms with a delightful view out to sea and good choices on the menu. The set evening menu tended to be better i.e. less adventurous. Of course this is all a matter of personal taste. Getting round the island is really easy by bus and it is not expensive to do so. The hotel provides an excellent shuttle service to Panza, which is a good walk up hill from the hotel to catch the buses. The shuttle will also pick up from Panza if you are not able or willing to walk back from there. This place is definitely worth a visit. "

"I've picked this hotel because it is literally 10min walk to Negombo and it has several pools with warm sea water & thermal water. We've booked a Seaview room which had a truly amazing view and at that moment it was all I needed to rest my mind. The room itself isn't very big, but enough to accommodate two people. The shower room is pretty big, tiles slightly cracked in some places, shower isn't the most modern one, but does its job well. We didn't have any troubles with pressure or lack of hot water during our stay. I think the biggest inconvenience was that AC in the room didn't work properly, it didn't change the temperature to lower. It was very hot in the night, so we slept like in a sauna and woke up with headache every day. Opening a balcony is not a great idea, because mosquitoes are vicious, and anyway it was about 35 degrees at night. Breakfast was average, nothing special for northern European standards, but definitely very good for Italy. Italians normally eat only sweets for breakfast. They served about 10 types of cakes and croissants. They did serve some scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts, plain salad leaves with tomatoes, which was nothing special, but edible. For me the best part of breakfast was the watermelon. Cappuccino was tasty too. During the day we ordered some cocktails at the pool bar which were served with small complimentary snacks. The variety of pools with warm water was great. Overall very good experience, we would stay again. "
