It was a pleasure staying at Hampton Ft. Lauderdale. The staffs (Mario) were all pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious but the same was offered throughout the duration of our stay. I wish there was a variety to choose from. Overall, I would definitely book at Hampton Ft. Lauderdale in the future.

Great location. The breakfast was fantastic. The safe in our room didn't work, so we had to store valuables at the front desk.

The hotel was a bit dated but kept clean. Guy Randy front counter was not the best. He told us about a shuttle service to port WITHOUTS saying there was a fee. He saw and heard me say then I’ll cancel my uber service. After I cancelled it he says the fee was around $15 per person for shuttle ( which was More than the uber I had just cancelled). He offered no apology or acknowledgment of his lack of full Communication. Hotel had 3 bruised apples in a bowl next to water that were never changed out. Same ones were sitting there around 10am next day. The breakfast was average at best. Free doesn’t always to mean cheap. Apples were wrapped which was a good thing. Our room was clean. Remote was dirty but we disinfected. Shower head was below average and handle hard to turn. Although I enjoy helping others it was hard to see all the homeless around the area sleeping on the street empty plates water bottles and trash everywhere. I didn’t feel unsafe but just not relaxed.

Everyone in the bathroom has issues. Water came from two different parts of the pipe in the shower, you had to hold down the handle of the toilet the entire time or it wouldn’t flush and the sink barely drained. Also, they charged me extra for checking in early. I didn’t ask them to get the room ready early, it was just ready and this is the first hotel I’ve ever set do this. Last Hampton Inn I’ll ever stay at.

Staff was wonderful. Room, typical Hampton In. Clean, comfortable, everything in the room worked perfectly fine. Shampoo and other bathroom toiletries were there. Breakfast started at 6 am even on Sunday which was wonderful for our purpose. Eating area was clean and constantly being replenished. I requested early check in and a courtesy late check out and it was granted without any problems. Parking on property was waved, as the garage has an app to pay for parking. I am a Hilton Honors member and was very pleased with this property. Will definitely recommend and return when in town. Thank you for a great stay

Fire emergency after 9pm. Intercom announced emergency evacuation required- do not take stairs use elevator. Everyone rushing down stairs and outside building. Fire truck came. No fire, however firemen told us (guests) waiting outside when asked what happened, that it was laundry room steam. Front desk manager and staff insisted the alarm was pulled by someone. Another guest came to front desk and said she saw someone smoking in hall next to fire alarm. Manager and staff argued with me in person and on phone insisting alarm was pulled by someone after fire department told us it was the laundry steam. Had to haggle to get a refund. Left and found another hotel

The property is very convenient for the Broward Center for Performing Arts which was the purpose of my stay. Although it is less than a mile away, it is not an easy walk due to having to cross the very busy multi-lane Broward Boulevard and so I chose to drive there. the immediate neighborhood is undergoing lots of new construction of high-rise apartment buildings and condos so its busy. The hotel is clean, the hot breakfast options are adequate (scrambled egg, maple smoked sausage, potatoes, toast, make-yourself waffles). The room was very comfortable. There could be some updating of bath/ shower fittings. Staff were very pleasant. Parking is managed by an independent company so you pay for parking through an App but the parking lot is covered and adjacent to the hotel so very convenient.
