"Just 2 hours north of Houston, this is a perfect spot for a weekend getaway with the family. The cabin itself is awesome, plenty of entertainment inside and out. From the game room upstairs, to the retro video game system, and blazing fast internet, this place is well-stocked for a large family.Outside the cabin there's an awesome trail that snakes over the dozen acres of land providing scenic views and access to a fishing hole.Byron really takes care of the little things inside. Everything was clean upon arrival and the kitchen lacked nothing. The whole family had a blast, great spot for a large event or weekend getaway."

"Upon Friday arrival, entered gate and the brick walk to the front door was covered in sand and dirt. To the left of the front door on the porch sat a styrofoam cooler, lid to the side and a bag of garbage in it. Inside the house seemed reasonably clean but by the time we visited each room we had killed two scorpions. Out back by the lakeside the nice grass that is portrayed in the listing appears to have not been mowed this year and had sticker burrs growing closer to the house. On the back porch was a large trash can that was overfilled and garbage stacked around it with pizza boxes etc.. Assuming that someone might come right away to take the trash away we waited until the next morning to contact the owner and was advised that it would be picked up that afternoon. It was still there when we left a day early on Sunday. We killed another scorpion Saturday morning and in searching for more, found several pink pills on the floor behind and to the side of the guest toilet. The windows appeared to have never been cleaned inside or out. The attractive glass top dining table is so wobbly we chose not to use wine glasses because they would probably tip over if the table was accidentally bumped. The sad thing is a rotting and frayed (actually hard to tell what it is) American Flag hanging on one of the three flagpoles by the lake! Three good things: clean beds, great air conditioning and a really nice master bath. When we left the garbage was still there…."

"Upon getting there, enter the living room that was semi pleasant went into the kitchen. The floors were dirty All the cupboards look like a mess. The pantry smelt like dead rodent. And wherever you turn on the water, whether it was the kitchen. The restrooms and the showers it smelled like rotten egg , The floor in the big restroom the floors were coming up. You would walk on the ano. And push it down with your feet. You could not walk around the house barefooted. Or with socks? Because your feet or your socks would get dirty right away. Each time I would come into the house from my vehicle I was dodging cow and horse feces before entering the and had to hurry up and close the door before the flys would follow me into the house, The tenants on the property we're driving their trucks around like crazy, making all kinds of noise and racket. I wouldn't even be able to go down to the pond due to overgrown vegetation and no way down. I highly suggest taking this property off of v. R b o vacasa and every other website until the owners of this house do some major renovating and clearing to make the Property more accessible, instead of having to be cooped up in the house"
