I’m not sure of their scam, but this property should not be listed on VRBO, but they have thus far refused to take it down. I rented it a month before our intended stay because we needed a space for our boat on the water for a sailing competition. I had seen one of the reviews noting that the host cancelled at the last minute, but I rolled the dice hoping that I would be able to establish contact with the host ahead of time. Well, that was a bad decision. Repeated calls, texts and messages through the VRBO app were never returned. VRBO customer service also tried to contact the host to no avail. At 9pm the night before our intended stay, the host finally texted me simply saying Due to extreme circumstances the rental was not available. Thanks.” VRBO gave me a full refund, but did nothing to assist with separate accommodations and we were forced to stay 45 minutes away from the lake with family. This is a FRAUDULENT listing and should be taken down.

This listing is a scam. Host refused to communicate through Vrbo app or website. No check-in or property info was ever given, and I received a text the night before our stay—from someone whose name didn’t match the host name on the listing—saying my reservation was canceled, leaving me and my family with no lodging for trip we’d been planning for weeks. Waiting for a refund.

Good Stay but Be Prepared
The house is very roomy and was clean aside from a few bugs. Pool was clean and nice, needed a little water so we added from house. Oven and grill did not work so be prepared to work around that. 3 beds and 2 blowup mattresses. Decks on both floors covered in lots of spiderwebs and need cleaning off to use. Pool room filled with blown up flats to use was a huge plus. Outsidec lifting was great for nighttime swimming. Overall satisfaction with pool and house, disappointied with cooking options.

Canceled on us at the last minute
The owner canceled on us because he said that there was broken items in the house and we would get a full refund. At first, he sounded very nice and said he was working on my refund and now he has totally ghosted me and not responded to any of my calls or messages here Here I am a week later and still have not Received a refund! It was so last minute I could not even rent another house and we were there for my daughter’s wedding. It was very inconvenient and I would really like my money I paid for the house, back!
