"Beautiful apartment with a view of coastal area and Mt Etna. Spacious and clean. Getting into town does require walking many stairs but it is worth the walk. We walked into town then took a taxi home each day. "

Shower space is bigger than most properties in Italy and water pressure incredible. Host is very responsive and gave us a detail tour upon check-in which we appreciated. "This is an excellent property that is perfect for side trips up and down the coast from Taormina to Catania, Syracuse, Noto and beautiful beaches. The area is quiet and the views are spectacular. The hosts Mario and Angela are lovely and did all they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable."

"This villa was everything and more. It is private and close to all! Plenty of room and the pool is so inviting!! You can pick your own herbs to cook with. Relax by the beach than come back and jump in the pool! Rooms are large and open. The host was extremely hospitable. "Beautiful apartment, short walk to market and town. Be advised the path is very steep. We met the owner just outside of the central area, where he took our bags and drove us to the place. The apartment is well appointed but was missing some minor accessories, like shampoo and conditioner, and a hair dryer. We got lost after venturing out the next day, we couldnt find the exact path back, and had to call the owner for a map. It is close to the cable car and Antico Teatre. Also if you venture off...

"The region between Milazzo and Messina is not really nice. But Cala Marina is an oasis in there. Great garden (with Yakuzzi!), only a few footsteps to the sea. We spend days and evenings on the terraces (independ of the weather). House is well equipped. Really friendly owners."

"Property very tastefully furnished, friendly hosts (who speak very little English). OK for 2 people, would be a bit tight for 4. Major issues with swimming pool (out of action for 5 of our 14 days), with water pressure (20 mins for shower to warm up and then only a dribble), extremely loud and frequently barking dog. Although located in a side street it is adjacent to a major road - plenty of traffic noise during the day. Location convenient for Etna and the sites on the east side of the island."

"We spent a week in this apartment and found it an ideal base for local outings, including Taormina and Etna. Forza d'Agro is a bit like a hill-top Sicilian St Ives - all tiny alleys and steep streets and stairs, with excellent restaurants. The chocolate museum was pretty original too! The apartment is well-equipped and clean, with a lovely terrace giving the most amazing views along the coast and across the valley to the mountains."

"This property is ideal for a quiet break. the gardens and views are really remarkable. The area is so quiet. Its probably not so great with children as there are 200 steps to town or same to beach otherwise its taxis which cost a bit. Breakfast was great for the view, pehaps a little pricey for the content. Beers and wines from reception were great value. The nearby beaches are very crowded.The town of Catania is beautiful, less busy at night than daytime. The theatro is splendid. Would come...

"I loved this property. It was in a very beautiful location. It's not a very convenient location for walking, you need to take the taxi to get the station station and bus stop was not easy to find. The main area Piazza IX Aprile and shopping area is about 15-20min walk. Isola Bella is really far but doable about 30min walk. The hotel staff was really wonderful and helpful. Lufthansa lost our bag and we didn't get it back until the 3rd day. The staff did everything with calling the delivery guy and airport to see what they can do with speeding up process. The breakfast was delicious. Btw this was there last week before they close for the season November 8-15. "

Unforgettable Honeymoon

"The hotel was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations. It was our honeymoon and they upgraded our suite, the room was immaculate and the view was stunning. Giuseppe at the front desk was awesome. The food was delicious. The weather was rainy but we still had an amazing time. 10/10 honeymoon."
