It was very clean when we arrived, and hopefully we left it in the same manner. The host did not meet us, but gave us information on how to access the home, which was easy. "The region between Milazzo and Messina is not really nice. But Cala Marina is an oasis in there. Great garden (with Yakuzzi!), only a few footsteps to the sea. We spend days and evenings on the terraces (independ of the weather). House is well equipped. Really friendly owners."

"Property very tastefully furnished, friendly hosts (who speak very little English). OK for 2 people, would be a bit tight for 4. Major issues with swimming pool (out of action for 5 of our 14 days), with water pressure (20 mins for shower to warm up and then only a dribble), extremely loud and frequently barking dog. Although located in a side street it is adjacent to a major road - plenty of traffic noise during the day. Location convenient for Etna and the sites on the east side of the island."

Just a few minutes walk to Isola Bella (though there are numerous staircase steps to get to the beach.) Private parking was a huge plus. "This would have been 5 stars all round except for the many dogs barking, thankfully not through the night and unfortunately we were bitten many times by mosquitoes. The views of Mount Etna were breath taking plus we had the added bonus of watching it erupt for hours late into the night from the comfort of the terrace. The villa is brilliant with private secure parking. Mario and Angela are excellent hosts. We would definitely recommend their villa for a holiday."

"A great property in very easy reach of Mt Etna, Taormina, Catania (40 mins from each), and Milazzo. There is also a lovely beach just 10mins away. The neighbourhood is a bit a non-descript, but it is a lovely property, quiet, with a lovely "temporary" pool which is a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Francesco the host was great throughout the stay. Highly recommended as a base for visits around Etna."

"The house was more rustic than expected, and it would have been nice to know a caretaker liver on site. Not a problem, but it would have been nice to know. View of Mt. Etna was stunning, and the pool was maintained well. Surrounding area was a bit intimidating, and the entrance gates took some work. But overall, a nice place and very attentive hosts."
