Discover charm, relaxation and great views to Foxton Beach from different spaces

Discover charm and relaxation at Seabury Lookout, a unique retreat with a rich history as the original Postmaster house. Perched strategically on a hill, the expanded deck offers a year-round spot to enjoy your favorite beverage looking out to views of farmland. From various rooms inside you can spy the estuary, river, recreational park, and the majestic Tararua Ranges. Inside, the bach features classic kiwi living, including a spacious bathroom with a separate toilet and a shower over the bath. The sheltered deck, often bathed in sunlight, is comfortable with built in table picnic style and umbrella you can put up to keep the sun away. A separate lounge with a TV and DVD player is perfect for kids, while the main lounge offers ample seating and a cosy fire in winter. Bedrooms are easy-care relaxation spaces. Entertainment options include puzzles, games, and some of the latest NZ House & Garden editions. The nearby beach, offers various activities, and Mr Grumpy's, just a 5-minute walk away, serves some of the best fish and chips in NZ. Safety is a priority with gates over the driveway and deck to keep everyone safe. As night falls, the settlement lights up, creating a beautiful nocturnal panorama. Explore the river for sailing, bird viewing, white baiting (seasonal), or fishing. Within walking distance, find a boat club, bowling club, Ramstar rated world-class estuary, and an amazing playground for the size of the community with skate board ramps, skate park, tennis courts with turf, petanque, walking track, kids play equipment for all ages and basketball hoops, outdoor table tennis, flying fox. And you can spy the older kids from the lounge and bedroom! Bring your golf clubs for a round of golf nearby at Foxton. Close to the race course and regular market. The stars at night time are magnificent. A short drive takes you to the historic town of Foxton, known for its working flour windmill De Molen. Bicycle paths stretch from the beach to Foxton. Foxton offers attractions like the National Sound and Movie Museum, Te Awahou Dutch museum, public pool, Awahou Boardwalk, Foxton murals, Seaview Gardens, Manawatu river loop, and the Flax Museum. Thrill-seekers can enjoy the wakeboard park for water sports, and events at Manfield or Palmerston North are a short drive away. Foxton, with its sizable Dutch population, features the Manawatu Dutch Club, a Reformed Church, and a Dutch café: Café De Molen amongst many other lovely cafes and shopping. Book in to unwind, explore, and create memories at our bach, where history meets comfort, and every moment celebrates the laid-back Kiwi lifestyle. The very positive reviews have been consistent over the past 15 years, come and find out for yourself.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

Nice cute little house to stay and within walking distance to the park and dairy. Only thing was there wasn’t any wifi other than that it was a nice over night get away very cozy and warm and plenty of space in the back for the kids to run around in😊easy to communicate with and very helpful at the same time as we ran out of gas and she told us where and how to attach the spare

Perfect for What We Wanted!
We had a enjoyable stay there. The only suggestions would be to have the fire going for arrival. Warmer is more inviting and homely. Great overall, thankyou very much
