This place is very convenient and within walking distance to everything. We were upgraded since to a river room since it was a slow night, which was a nice gesture not that we used it in winter. The reason for the 3 stars is because it was one of the worst noise ( for a slow night too) I’ve ever had in a hotel. My husband and i barely slept because of the noise at night. It sounds like someone was stomping their feet in the halls and above us. The doors would slam every time someone would leave their room making it very difficult to sleep. The room next to us sounded like they would hit the walls which would wake up us from any sleep we actually got. I’ve never had this type of experience in a hotel. I cannot imagine what it would be like on a busy night. Love the people who worked here and the location. But if you need your sleep, I wouldn’t t recommend.

I took my sister on a weekend getaway. We were treated with absolute professionalism, but at the same time very approachable. The room was very nice, clean, and cozy. I will definitely be staying again. I have also told several colleagues how wonderful we were treated.

The staff were very nice and helpful, especially David at the front desk! The sheets smelled a little musty, like they didn’t dry long enough in the dryer. The air would kick on for 30 minutes, then kick off, then the heat came on. Which made for some chilly moments. Overall, a nice place to stay downtown!

It was ok they good staff, Justin was a nice kid but lacked customer service, didn’t have the room I wanted, never called me had to settle for double queen room vrs king room, beds were comfy, rooms real clean, kid gave me a discount after kind of pushing the issue of not having what I paid for, probably won’t stay again, bfast was ok and the stay was ok at best, will find another hotel to stay at if I go back!

I loved the balcony view of the river Fantastic There was no pool or hot tub. Nobody answered the doorbell on the ground floor. Must have the room card key to open the door in the basement

We loved everything about the hotel. Expedia, however, messed up our reservation. We spent four hours on the phone with Expedia personnel, who admitted the problem occurred on their site, did nothing to resolve it and hung up on us. The staff, especially Tressa, at the Marv Herzog Hotel went above and beyond in finding us accommodations on very short notice. We hope to stay at this hotel again in the future. However, we will not be using Expedia to book future travels.

We loved our stay at the Marv Herzog Hotel. It’s a smaller hotel full of interesting history for its namesake, that’s perfect for couples. I thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast each morning and happy hour each evening. The staff was incredibly friendly and full of many “must see” suggestions. We will definitely be back. I recommend river view if going in the spring, summer or fall. But a city view if going in the winter. The Christmas lights are beautiful!

This is our second time staying at this hotel. We absolutely love it! And wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Hands down one of our favorite hotels. The location is quiet, but you can still walk everywhere you need to go. The 24 hour coffee is a total plus! It’s so cozy & inviting. We will continue to stay here every year on our Christmas trip!
