Rustic Luxury, Unobstructed Views of the Continental Divide, Isolated but close

Beautiful log cabin nestled in the woods with dramatic views of Continental Divide (four-wheel drive a must in the winter). Private deck with large hot tub and gas grill. You'll marvel at the warmth your family/group feels around the river stone fireplace. Fourteen people can crowd around the handcrafted wood dining room table playing games while the cooks listen in from the gourmet kitchen. Every inch of this cabin was crafted by top rated finish carpenters. You'll marvel at the unique touches throughout. Each bathroom has its own Kohler fixtures (like a two-person jetted tub and old fashioned claw foot one) creating a distinct environment. The most frequent comment we hear from guests, 'Your pictures don't do it justice.' All manner of mountain sports are nearby. We're walking distance from the Arapaho National Forest and just a short drive to Winter Park Ski Area. A perfect setting for romance (we've had many small weddings) or family reunions and group get-togethers.

Beautiful Location
We loved the location, loved the house and loved the hot tub on the deck. Central location in the Winter Park valley area. Great trails very close to the house made for some great hiking and snowshoeing.

This place is amazing!
Steve was a great host. He was easy to communicate with and very kind! We got married here with our immediate families and had plenty of space for everyone and everything! If you are looking for a perfect getaway, this is it! It’s secluded, but still just 10-15 minutes from town and downtown Winter Park. I highly recommend this beautiful home!

Family Summer Get-together
I am certain everyone from 3-70 years of age enjoyed our short but happy time together at the DancingAspen cabin. The mt. air was a nice escape from the heat of summer. The cabin was beautiful with just the right amount of beds for our group. All were very comfortable and the young adults enjoyed the night air and good conversations in the hot tub after dark when the little ones were fast asleep in the reading bunks. The views from the deck of the horses grazing beneath the mountains far in the distance gave grace to all who were fortunate to sit a spell and enjoy this moment in time.

Endorphin summer getaway
Came for romantic getaway for 2. The location did not disappoint. Steve, who lives below the lodge, welcomed us. We had complete privacy the whole rest of the time. The lodge is very well maintained. The hot tub was key to our stay and did not disappoint. Beautiful view. Excellent location. Would highly recommend.

Awesome Home away from Home
Our spring break vacation was made very comfortable in this home. We had everything we needed and wanted available to us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed as well as the basics in the pantry and spice drawer to cook with Our two boys were very pleased with the personal "cubbies" and sleeping quarters. They enjoyed the use of the sleds and playing on the property. Baryn, the caretaker was extremely helpful, personal and overall a very pleasant man. The boys enjoyed their personal magic show from him :D. We loved Hernando's in Fraser when we ate out. Definitely would stay here again and look forward to future stays.

Charming house in the mountains. Perfect for our large family, exactly what we were looking for!
Endorphon Resorts is a charmingly rustic home in the mountains. It was the perfect house for our large family to spend the holiday week. The house has every amenity we were looking for and fit us perfectly. Steve (the owner) was a wonderful help in helping me plan our trip. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable, he had great suggestions and was always available to assist and guide me. Way beyond what would be expected from an owner. I would definitely rent this house again if we go back to that area. I wish we could do it every year, and so did the kids!

Owner is passive aggressive and rude, house was dirty, lots of things broken, not what is advertised
Positives: AMAZING views/Huge dining room table. Negatives: Hot tub not set up and ready to go when we first arrived – assume would be done by the caretaker/The hot tub was dirty – Chemicals had clearly not been added to the water, we were sitting in dirt in the seats/Bottom drawer of dishwasher broken./Master bedroom tub would not drain/drain was broken; trash on the floors, empty water bottles and large hairballs throughout./Mud room bathroom shower was not cleaned./There was only about 2/3 of a roll of paper towels on the holder when we arrived, none in unit to replace. Had to borrow a roll from caretaker then purchase our own in town when that ran out./The ice maker not working./Stove vent not functioning, had to open the doors and several windows every time we used the stove./Upstairs bedroom at the top of the stairs had trash on the floor. In the bathroom in this room, the sink pedestal was very dirty./Holes in wall in mud room bathroom/Mouse droppings in lazy susan cabinets. No mention in listing there is a caretaker who not only lives on-site, but in basement. Emailed owners w/ concern over loudness of our group and space of house. House is NOT 3000 square feet without including basement (which you can't access). 3 separate emails from owner in response to my questions were rude, accusatory, threatening and passive-aggressive. Quoted: 1)"I will get him a hotel room for the 3 days you are here and tell him he can take the time off, if you like, but our location is beautiful because it is isolated and you'll have dig yourself out and handle difficulties that arise -- of course, you can call me in California…but my hands will be tied for some things." 2)"As an aside, did someone from your group sit on the back of the couch?..there was a significant tear in it. ..also said there was a big scratch on the refrigerator (it is new). I wouldn't mention them but thought you should probably know too, as some of your friends may have been careless. I didn't bother to take any of that out of the deposit because I'm not eager to deal with negatives." Couches are impossible to sit on back of, one backs up to a wall, the other has console running the entire height and length. He never mentioned these until after I mentioned all of the issues we had. No fridge scratch when we left. Expecting a crappy response from owner based on other critical reviews he received and his passive-aggressive responses to them. RUDE LYING OWNER, do not stay here.

Wonder filled mountain cabin!
Our entire family gathered for Christmas at The Dancing Aspen Cabin. We skied, sledded, snow-shoed and built snow forts. The kitchen provided everything we needed for meals -- a new Breville Mixer, stainless steel pots, pans, two ovens, six burners and a grill. The fireplace provided a wonderful family gathering spot and we enjoyed our conversations out on the deck in the hot tub -- the nights with moon shadows in the woods were spectacular. At night we could see the snow-capped Continental Divide across the valley ranches and horse pastures. The spectacular sun rises and sunsets added an alpenglow beauty to begin and cap every day. Winter Park and Mary Jane provided excellent skiing and snowboarding which made for great family fun. First class. We'd highly recommend it for everyone and plan on coming back this Spring for more fun.

This was a great rental!
My family of three and my sister's family of four stayed in this cabin for several days. It was very roomy, peaceful and in a good location. There was a lot of nature around the property and we enjoyed the beautiful views from the deck. The hot tub was very nice and relaxing as well. This was a great place! The owners and caretakers were there for our every need and were very accommodating. Overall this was one of the best rentals I've used!

The Perfect Secluded Cabin for a Group
We had an incredible experience staying at this cabin with our group of 10! It is nestled in a beautiful valley, perched on a hillside, which gives the cabin wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. It feels very secluded, even though you're only 10-15 minutes from town. The sleeping arrangements are very comfortable for 10 people, and the kitchen and living room areas are spacious for the whole group to hang out in. The kitchen was fully supplied with great cooking equipment, there is a huge communal table to eat at and play games on, and the TV area has a cozy fireplace and comfy leather couches. All of the tile floors are heated too! It was very clean and well-maintained. Our favorite part of the cabin was the big hot tub that is conveniently set on the corner of the huge deck. It was amazing for relaxing in after a day of outdoor activities, and on a clear night you can sit in the hot tub and gaze at the stars. The owners of the property were very responsive throughout our planning prior to the weekend, and the caretakers that lived below were always quick to reply to our questions or requests. They live right there on the bottom floor so it is very convenient for them to help with anything, while at the same time it felt like we had the whole property to ourselves. They gave us complete privacy for the whole stay, and they had a separate entrance and driveway. We HIGHLY recommend this vacation home for a group looking for beautiful views, affordable rates, a spacious cabin, and responsive hosts! The nearby town of Fraser has a Safeway and some bars and restaurants to visit. Also, it is very close to snowshoeing and cross-country ski trails, as well as Winter Park Resort and the Fraser sledding hill!!

Huge Disappointment
When we pulled up to the Dancing Aspen Cabin we were thrilled with the view. It quickly went down hill from there. Unbeknownst to us there was a man living in the basement (the owner's son Stevie) we told him right away that we were not comfortable with this situation. We were traveling with our teenage daughter and planned on some of her friends visiting during the day. We didn't want to leave them alone with a man in the house or around the house while we hiked and biked and additionally I had specifically chosen this location because another reviewer had said it was quite. I am in graduate school and needed to study. Stevie called his dad who owns the property and my husband explained the situation to him. Steve told us that he would send Stevie to a hotel at night but he would be there during the day working. There was evidence of this with his tools set up around the house. Again we told him we were not comfortable with this situation. This is the first we had heard of the house being occupied and a man working around the house (this is a secluded area) and we had booked and paid for the house three months ago. Had we known this we could have saved us both a lot of trouble because we wouldn't have paid to stay there. We were quite shaken, this was around six in the evening and we had been traveling all day. Luckily we were able to get the last two rooms at a hotel that evening, they were so very kind when they heard about our situation. We were able to regroup and find another home for rent that didn't have anyone living in it or working on it. The owner Steve refused to give us any of our money back stating that he could not recoup his losses for the weekend?? I should have paid more attention to the Disappointed review. Dealing with Steve was a reminder to me that all people are not honest or trustworthy. I would not recommend that people stay at the Dancing Aspen Cabin.
