Stayed here for my birthday celebration and to reset/recharge. Very clean and accommodating. Beautiful views, peaceful nights under the stars in the hot tub, cozy fire pit outside and fireplace inside. This was perfect.
We loved the ease and comfort of everything. The place was immaculate and nicer than any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The hot tub was a nice bonus as well as the sunset from the balcony. Top Notch accommodations and you’ve definitely raised the bar for me.
When I saw that this was available during my spring break, I had to book it again! And it continues to impress me. We saw river otters and a bald eagle. Went fishing and did a lot of relaxing. My only complaint during this visit is that the hot tub was pretty dirty. However, I will absolutely be back.
The location is perfect & quiet, with a beautiful deck, view, outdoor fire pit, seating, & lights. The yurt & facilities were clean. The fireplace was well used as it got chilly in the night. Our only complaint was the hot tub wasn’t warm when we arrived, but it only took a few hours to heat up.
This was a great deserted weekend away. We were a little bummed there wasn’t too great of access to the river behind the yurt. We planned on doing a lot of fishing on the property. We were able to get down, but it wasn’t easy or worth the hassle. We ended up spending a lot of time at Sam A. Baker state park and had a great time. We even floated on the river one day and had tons of luck fishing! All in all, the yurt was a great stay! We would definitely consider staying again, and exploring the other state parks in the area.
My fiance and I actually only live about 20 miles away from this location but we needed a few days away from people, places, and things and this was perfect! The yurt was perfectly decorated and so romantic with the hot tub right on the deck! Literally we would not have had to pack anything as we discovered there was everything we needed right there already! It rained the entire time we were there but it didn't matter we enjoyed each other's company and the sounds of nature! We would definitely stay again in the future! And since the day we booked the host was super quick to reply to all of my messages and inquiries! If I could give it 20+ stars I would!
We had a wonderful time at the Yurt. We only left once to get breakfast. Spent most of our time enjoying the hot tub and the fire pit.
This property has a refrigerator and a toaster oven. Also has an electric grill outside that worked great for making our steaks. There is no stove or microwave. Kitchen had silverware, plates, cups, and bowls. Also had a coffee pot.
The bathroom was super clean and was equipped with towels, wash cloths, and outlets. Came with soap and shampoo but no conditioner. Which was fine because I brought my own.
We tried to find access
My husband and I came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was a nice yurt with a beautiful view of the river and the Fall leaves were the perfect color during our stay. Keep in mind - there is a newer cabin close to the yurt so you aren't alone on the property. However it would be nice if you needed to rent a couple of places for a couples getaway. The address is slightly off on this website so keep in mind this place is closer to Annapolis than it is to Fredericktown but its really nicely located depending on what you want to do in the area. We went to Taum Sauk Mountain and Sam A. Baker while we were here.

DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY
ADDRESS is incorrect and will take you to the middle of nowhere with zero cell service
Host is a jerk
Property isn’t In or near listed town it’s another 25 miles.
HOT TUB not working didn’t even have power
Fireplace doesn’t function.
Tv won’t be connected to WiFi
And no WiFi was provided to connect ourselves
After being lost for over 2 hours trying to follow the hosts horrible directions via phone we arrived to find literally nothing but a very uncomfortable bed and everything. Else we paid for doesn’t function.
Even after the host ignores messages asking for help and didn’t reach out til after check out and knows nothing was functioning he STILL refused to allow a refund.
These guys are not here to provide you a nice stay. They are here to trick you into spending money based on a listing only to keep it when they don’t deliver.
Absolutely rent ANYTHING else.
They have several so anything St. Francois county river- avoid
