It is in a quiet, safe area. The facility's surrounding was clean, even have a pool. Breakfast is reasonable, could use addition of omelet, sausage or tater tots but is fair. Building is quaint, facade looks like a countryside Italian villa in a good old fashionable way. The room we stayed in was very roomy with the basics you could wish for (ref, tv, hair blower, clothes iron & board, bathroom vanity & mirror is huge, shower & curtain are clean. The only thing, small cab the houses the fridge could use a little TLC together with the rug. Other than that, was pretty happy with my stay at La Quinta Hotel in Fremont. Personnel were all friendly, courteous, professional, presentable, clean. I liked my stay at La Quinta.

1. I chose this hotel because of the hot tub listing on Expedia. I never looked at the hotel's listing, which noted that the tub was closed for the season. 2. I booked a stay that straddled a weekend, and when I asked when breakfast was served, I was told 7-10. On Monday I decided to sleep in, and when I went to breakfast it had been closed for an hour, as on weekdays the hours were 6-9. Why the desk didn't tell me this I haven't a clue. 3. My room was never cleaned. On morning three I pointed this out to the desk, and the response was "Oh! would you like to have your room cleaned?" I cannot recommend this hotel.

I usually book LaQuintas while traveling. This place was more like a Truck Stop Motel. Outside looks good but inside feels and is dirty. First impression inside was not good as lobby bathroom smelled of urine. Just like a bathroom at a gas station. Carpets are horrible, even inside rooms. Elevator is scary and rundown. Not your typical LaQuinta breakfast. Just waffles, cereal and bagels. Interesting to watch guest as they would take more of their fair share of food. No smoking allowed but I guess weed doesn’t fall into that category as skunk scent drifted throughout. Room key cards are tricky as you need to keep sliding then in for green light. I also other guests having same problem. Staff were nice.
