Fantastic getaway
We stayed at this wonderful house for eight nights. There were ages 4-89 in the group and the house suited us all. Check in and out was made easy by Régis who gave us a tour on our arrival. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Two bathrooms and one en-suite shower made mornings easy. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and cook food, as well as a lot of equipment we didn’t even use. The living areas were big enough for us all to fit in, after we’d spent hours outside by the pool in the cooler evenings. The pool itself was our highlight. The roof kept the water warm so that even on the coldest day it was still warm enough to swim. The town is easy to walk to and has two bakeries as well as bars and a market. A Super U is also in walking distance. Overall we had a really enjoyable week and would definitely return in the future.

Absolute Heaven
I don't know where to start with this gorgeous property. From the moment we entered the Estate, we were blown away. We had a full tour around the house and the gardens on arrival with Christelle who was so warm and welcoming. The amount of land this property has is absolutely fantastic and all the gardens were beautiful and manicured. The pool is incredible, it has a cover at night which keeps the pool warm at 30 degrees in the day. There are two wonderful sitting areas, one with a canopy and one with sparkly lights. We also had a BBQ and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could imagine. The rooms are beautiful with balconies and lovely views. There is a games room with Air Hockey, a pool table and football. One of the rooms has a sauna and the property has three showers and two toilets. There was also table tennis and boules to play with. We loved that we could walk into town within 10 minutes, 3 bakeries, restaurants and a lovely bar called the Celtic by the church. Only a 10 minute drive away is the Alpes Mancelle, beautiful town with a lovely Italian and kayaking. There is also a Super U within 3 minutes drive of the property. It's 100% a 5 star resort with plenty to do. We loved this home so much, we've booked for next year. The owners are so lovely and we thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. Photos don't do it justice!
This property is amazing! There were 8 of us (4 adults 4 children) and there was more than enough room for us all. The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked (apart from a grater and oven gloves!) and the games room was brilliant. We spent most of our time in the sun room and by the pool - the cover over it is ingenious. The village of Fresnay is a 10 min walk away. It has a few shops, a mini supermarket and bakeries but it's worth finding out when they're open as they all seemed to differ. This is a beautiful villa and would definitely stay here again for a week of relaxing by the pool.

Beautiful property
We just had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The house was perfect for our family of four (and a couple of visits from friends passing through) Clean and well equipped (especially the American sized fridge😁). The grounds are pristine and the weather allowed us to utilize all of the outdoor eating and living areas (and pool) almost every day. The village is quaint and walkable from the house. My son hit one of the local boulangeries almost every morning on the way back from his daily runs. This was a great find for us as we used it as a home base for day trips to the Loire valley and Normandie and some lovely chill days by the pool in between.

Perfect.
Simply perfect. Photos on the listing are good, but do not really do the house justice, it's just lovely. Plenty of room for a large group, nice kitchen, indoor room to lounge if wanted, but the outside is where it shines. The pool, covered seating area, table and chairs with awning - the pool! A huge property to wander if so desired. Just - wow..... Bonus, the house is located in a lovely small village, with some interesting spots to visit and a market day Wednesday. The owners were wonderful to deal with. Will absolutely return to this gorgeous oasis.

Outstanding!!!
This is without doubt a five star property with lovely, accommodating hosts who are available whenever required. The pictures do not do this house justice. Inside and outside are both huge, tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. The pool is amazing and kids (and adults) will love the games room. We already can't wait to return!

Fabulous family break
OMG what a stunning house and gardens, loads to do within the property, basement full of activities Pool, Air Hockey, Bar Football with somewhere to sit and enjoy the family having fun. Ground floor was spacious and very well decorated and felt 'homely' the Kitchen was very well stocked with crockery and cooking equipment in fact everything you could need . We had BBQ's in the garden and with loads of various places to sit and eat as well as sit and chill, ground floor benefited by having a toilet . The garage had Darts and Table Tennis and also a separate laundry area with dryer and clothes airier. The garden was massive and loads of things to see and do , we even had a 'treasure hunt' for the children and they loved it, we used all of the grounds and house to hide the clues. The family loved the pool and were in it from morning till late evening. The garden felt secure with a set of remote gates. Upstairs was massive with 4 bedrooms all of them had large beds, one room had a sofa as well as a large bed another also had bunks , there was 3 showers and a toilet on this floor. One of the bathrooms also had a sauna , there was a quiet zone upstairs in the hall way . Lovely views from all of the rooms, we even had a hot air balloon come over on our last day it was so low you felt you could almost touch it. We had 2 supermarkets within 5 mins and the larger had a massive choice of produce and every day household items. The family ventured to the canoe trip and all took part and had a fun time. The 'Chateau de la motte husson ' was within an hours drive and the family went there hoping to see the 'Strawbridges' but instead got some memorable selfies. Can't recommend this property enough !! Superb house in a beautiful area of France
This is our second visit to the house and Fresnsay, and once again it did not disappoint. Our host greeted us on arrival and was very flexible as our ferry was delayed. As per last year’s review the house is fantastic, accommodating our large family with ease. The pool is always a highlight, this year the weather was more changeable but the pool was always warm which meant we were in it everyday. This year we visited a few new places, Saint-Ceneri-Le-Gerri listed as one of France’s most beautiful villages, and it really is, well worth a visit. The museum at Le Mans 24hr was great the children loved it. On our way back to the ferry at Caen we stopped in Falaise to the Chateau of William the Conquer. This was brilliant, they have iPads to use so you can see what the keep would have looked like as you go around. Will definitely return, a beautiful house in a beautiful village!

Lovely house with excellent pool
First impressions were great, electric gates open up onto a private drive and gardens, the owner is polite and accommodating. The heated pool and gardens are really excellent, 5*. General living areas are all fine, large dining tables inside and out, large TV, WifFi, sauna, games room with pool table, table tennis, tennis etc. 5* UK visitors should note that their are only 2 toilets for the whole house and these are separate from the bathrooms, no windows, by UK standards the toilets need to be revised. This is a very quiet area of Sarthe/ Loire, and we found that many of the shops and bars were closed during August. Mainly a non English speaking area. We enjoyed the village centre, touring around local villages, and a trip down to busy Le Mans (40 mins), and Coco Lake (10 mins). A good place to relax.

Lovely place with amazing space and facilities!
We had a fantastic time! 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 toddler. Had fun using the pool, table tennis, the pool table. Lovely walks in nature. Very quiet and relaxing! Not really ensuites though, just the one shower. Apart from that would go back if visiting the area again!

Nice house, slightly strange layout
The house is modern, very well equipped and comfortable. The pool is great and games room kept the kids occupied, as did the fantastic big screen Samsung smart TV. The owners were very nice, although I think the security deposit is a bit high. The only strange thing is that none of the three bathrooms have toilets, there are two in the property but both are separate and individual.

This house is extremely comfortable. it has everything you need and more. The rooms are spacious and the surrounding gardens are filled with trees and flowers attracting local wildlife. The heated pool is covered which is very useful if the weather is cooler than expected in summer. I would recommend this property to anyone with a large family as there are 4 bedrooms each with a double bed and one room also has bunk beds. The furnishings are very high specification. Fresnay-sur-Sarthe is a pretty town and the property is on a quiet housing estate although it is ideally situated to visit the pretty village of St Ceneri-le-Gerei, the cities of Le Mans, and Alencon, and the towns of Bagnoles-del-l'Orne and Domfront. A beautiful house in large grounds with great facilities for all.
This lovely house set in a large garden with its own woods, plenty to explore for the younger members of the group. With three generations the games room and table tennis had plenty of use and the pool was a great hit with all ages. There is a small supermarket a 5 minute walk away, the village, restaurants and bigger supermarket 10 minutes away. In the village we enjoyed some delicious meals at Il Calcio, the owners restaurant. We found the owner to be very friendly and helpful. The surrounding countryside is beautiful dotted with pretty, often medieval, villages. 20 minutes away is a lake with a small beach, pedalos etc, at Sille' Le Guillaume. Le Mans is 40 minutes away where we found a theme park for the youngsters. We all enjoyed our stay immensely and would highly recommend this property.

Perfect property to share
The property is large and spacious, clean and well equipped with games galore and a pool to play in. we were two families with 3 teenage children and an 8 year old who were fully occupied throughout the week. The property is very secure and safe with lots of outside space. It does say the owner speaks English but it is very limited and confusion arose when we were asked what time we could leave the property on the last day, make sure you are ready and out by 10:00 as we believed we agreed 10:30 and were then hurried out the house in a very brusque manner - shame but didn't spoil a great week.

Fantastic House, Excellent Facilities, Quiet Location, Helpful Owners! Would Highly Recommend! 5*
The house was beautiful and modern and had been recently renovated to the highest standard. We were made to feel welcome by the owner and could keep in touch via SMS if needed. Outside is a large garden which my children loved, the pool is heated and has a cover, the BBQ is provided and there is a table and chairs under a canopy. The garden is surrounded by tall conifers so although there are neighbours you never see them. The driveway has remote operated security gates and the garden can be lit at night. The bedrooms are all very modern with four large double beds, bunk beds and also cot. The showers are all very large walk-in style and all very modern. The sauna is also a delight to use and a great way to end the day! The lounge has a large dining table that would seat 12 people and a large sitting area with 2 sofas. The kitchen has another small dining table and that looks onto the conservatory. In the basement there is a pool table, air hockey table and also a table football table. My boys had such great fun and their pool skills improved greatly in the week we were there! The town has a large Supermarket (Super U) only 10 minute walk away and you can get pretty much all you need there. There is also a baker in the village which sells excellent bread and pastries. It is called La Petite Paysanne and is situated on Rue Bailleul and about 10 minutes walk. If you want to go somewhere larger there is a shopping centre just as you enter Alencon which I would recommend. There are also lots of shops in Le Mans. We would recommend not using the motorway to get there but using the regular road that the locals use (D338) as you pass through some picturesque villages on the way (particularly to Le Mans). The Le Mans Race Track museum and tour is excellent and I would recommend. The Le Mans cathedral and old town are also very worthwhile visiting (the cathedral is truly spectacular). We parked in the car park behind Pathé Le Mans Quinconces which is directly opposite the cathedral. In Alencon we parked in the large car park next to the court house on Rue Alexandre 1 er and walked through the Parc Des Promenades. There is a very large play park at the far end of the park. There are loads of bars and cafes in the area to enjoy. So overall the house is fantastic and the local area has a huge amount of potential for those looking to split their time between relaxing at the house and touring the immediate area. I would highly recommend this house!

Fantastic property in beautiful surroundings!
The villa was absolutely perfect for our 2 week relaxing family holiday. There was plenty communal space and excellent facilities for a large group. The house was very clean and very well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable and it was great having window shutters. The only drawback with a larger group might be that there were only 2 WCs - this was OK for the 6 of us but it might be a struggle with a group of 10. The outdoor space around the property was excellent - a very large garden with secure entry to the driveway. We were not disturbed once and no surrounding properties overlook the villa. It was a major benefit having a large outdoor sitting area which we used every day for both relaxing and for eating our meals outdoors (even in the rain!). The on-line description mentioned a BBQ however it was a slight disappointment to find it was actually an electric hotplate and not a traditional BBQ - easily solved by purchasing a small BBQ at the local SuperU! The covered swimming pool was fantastic and was used every day in both sunshine and torrential rain! In summary, the villa was excellent and in fact the pictures on line do not do it justice - it was even better than it looked on the website! We would not hesitate to return in future and would willingly recommend it to friends. The owners were easily contactable both before our arrival and during our stay and were very helpful. We would also recommend their restaurant in Fresnay-sur-Sarthe (Il Calcio) where we had a lovely meal at extremely reasonable prices. All-in-all a fantastic experience!

Lovely House in small village close to Le Mans
The house was beautiful and had an amazing amount of facilities to add to the enjoyment of a stay in France. It totally reflected the description and was very well maintained, clean and comfortable. The pool, sauna and games room were a bonus. There is a very large garden and small wood too. We were very happy there and were quite sad to leave. The owners were lovely and went out of their way to make our stay a good one, even using an app to help solve any of our language problems. There was everything that we needed in the nearby village centre including patisseries and a very well stocked supermarket. I would heartily recommend this property and thank the owners for a very special stay.

Trés belle demeure ,spacieuse, confortable, trés propre avec une decoration soigné,au calme avec de nombreuses prestations. lNous avons pu profiter de la piscine, du sauna, manger en exterieur tres grand terrain bien sécurisé . Un accueil chaleureux ,de la part de nos hôtes mettant a disposition un lit d enfant et jeux pour notre petite fille.
