The main level was okay temperature wise with a travel fan; however, the third floor was horrible even with a travel fan. I would highly recommend investing in two fans per room or air conditioning. It is a short, 5-minute walk to the beach – which includes the ferry stop, a bakery, a small steakhouse and several other shops and cafés. A larger supermarket is only a 10-minute walk away. "Everything about the hotel was amazing, the staff, the room, the food, all great. The hotel grouods are very clean and its a very interesting concept (Erlebnishof is an adventure farm hotel typical of Germany). Family friendly atmosphere with lots of activities for families and a great place for solo travellers."

Excellent with a few glitches

"Amazing place with cool concrete and wood construction. Very good restaurant with a beautiful breakfast menu, with outstanding views over Lake Constance. A couple of oddities: our standard room had no details of hotel services such as restaurant opening times, spa details etc. Also, the room heating is centrally controlled so you have to put up with preselected temperatures. There is no phone to connect with the hotel reception and no fridge. "

"Meersburg and the hotel were something of a revelation to us. Only there for an overnight stay but will certainly be back. Our room was pleasant, clean, seemingly recently refurbished, and very well appointed / designed / set out, with guests’ convenience in mind. The hotel is directly on the lakeside, and our room looked out on to the ferry quay. Peaceful and beautiful. Parking is limited but we were offered a space just a couple of minutes walk away from the hotel - €15, which we thought was a bit steep. One other inconvenience was that breakfast is served in a sister hotel about 200 metres away, though a little electric shuttle is provided, if needed. This was more than compensated for, however, by the magnificent breakfast spread! A huge range of quality food and one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had."

Fantastic place and very helpful staff

"Fantastic place, with excellent all over service and morning restaurant. The hotel is placed central in Friedrichshafen, and close to everything. Even Though we were on the train station, you couldn't hear the trains ore any other trafic, so perfect place, if you want to explore Bodensee. All the Staff are very friendly, speek english and fantastic helpful, if you ahve questions. We drive electrical car, and it's possible to recharge your car in the basement. Thank you for a pleasant stay. "
