Cozy Cottage w Hot Tub, Fire Pit, WiFi & Sunroom!

Summary:
Sweet Pea Cottage is a cozy retreat nestled in the Shenandoah Valley mountains, with everything you need for your getaway.

The standouts:
- Relax in the outdoor hot tub!
- Grill on the deck and enjoy your meal at the picnic table
- Relax around the fire pit roasting s'mores
- Sit back and enjoy morning coffee in the sun room
- Drive 15 minutes into downtown Front Royal for great restaurants

Enjoy your stay!

The Space:
Sweet Pea Cottage is perfect for families, a couple’s retreat, or a small group of friends.

The cottage includes:
- Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing
- Two bedrooms to comfortably sleep four - 1 with queen bed, 1 with set of bunks
- Large loft area for hanging out
- Sunroom with huge windows looking directly into the woods
- Small deck with propane grill
- Fire pit and picnic table in the yard
- Fast Wi-Fi (100 Mbps)
- Smart TV

Two things to note:
1) We have an indoor fireplace, but unfortunately it's not usable and is only decorative.
2) The previous owners smoked, and there's a very slight smoke smell in the house. Most guests don't notice, but if you're very sensitive to it this may not be the place for you.

We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly! Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).

Beyond the cottage, we love how close to everything we are. Looking for good restaurants or shopping? Drive 15 minutes down the mountain into Front Royal. Breweries or wineries? There are a dozen within 30 minutes (our favorites are Backroom Brewery and Naked Mountain Winery).

And of course tons of great hiking in Shenandoah National Park -- also only about 15 minutes away!

The property was ok. There wasn't much of a view from the cottage. It was clean but kind of small. The gas grill on the deck was nice to have. The only major problem was that there was no hot water on our last day there. We notified the owner, but he could not get anyone out there until the next day, when we left. So that was kind of a bummer. No showers or hot water to properly do the dishes.

Front Royal cottage
This cottage was perfect for our visit to the area to explore Shenandoah National Park and wineries. The town of Front Royal is so nice too! The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed. We loved relaxing in the sunroom with our doggie after a day of exploring. The host was very responsive.

Basic but ok
Worked for our needs- 2 adults and a dog- but the hot tub is really the only bonus. House is small and clean and kitchen stocked etc but the beds and furniture not super comfortable and lacking any charm or extras that most VRBOs provide.

Maybe in the spring?
Not a pleasant experience in winter. Radiator in children's room was tepid. However I think the spring, with the porch overlooking the trees, birds, and opportunities for walks, it likely is more enjoyable.

GREAT PLACE
Verry clean place, comfortable bed, hot tub was awesome, owner easy to deal with. The only disappointment is the fireplace is just for show. I would recommend this cabin and I will come back.

Cozy cabin
We enjoyed the cabin in the woods. It was very quiet and comfortable. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and the loft upstairs for playing cards and games. Property manager communicated with us very well. It is about 20 minutes from Front Royal on a gravel road. The stars were really bright out there!

Clean + Comfortable.
Great communication from owner and overall a clean and comfortable place to stay. Not awesome for dogs as there is no real backyard and neighbors are close--many of whom have dogs that freely roam. Surrounding area is beautiful and lots of great places for hiking and other outdoor activities.

Excellent cozy house
We really enjoyed our stay (May 2022). Place was clean, airy, comfortable beds, fast internet, clean bathroom, good kitchen. Last mile to the house is gravel and steep at times, but totally navigable. Tony was great with regular communication, and provided very useful instructions and area information. Enjoyed the Shenandoah river and also Lake Frederick for boating and fishing. Highly recommend!

Good stay- but, home could have been better outfitted.
Tony was wonderfully helpful and easy to deal with. However, it should be noted that the property itself is not on the river or water. Rather, it is part of a neighborhood which has access. The porch, which is lovely, could benefit from more comfortable furniture and the kitchen needs to be better stocked for making meals at home.

Cozy mountain retreat and Tony was very a very helpful host checking in with us often and offering helpful tips. The area was beautiful in late spring. Road up the hill needs to be navigated carefully. About 28 mins to Shenandoah national park entrance at front royal.

A relaxing birthday getaway!
Tony was a fabulous host and was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire checking in, and he answered any questions that my partner and I had! The property itself is very well-maintained and has adorable decorating, the detail and care that went into this lovely home is evident. If you want some dinner PaveMint is a wonderful outdoor and indoor BBQ restaurant and the food was AWESOME. There is a close hike called Buzzard Rock nearby that is relatively quick that you don't need entrance into Shenandoah National Park for, and had some awesome views from the top of the mountain. The fire pit after a long day was great to come home to and you really felt in the woods and spaced out from neighbors and others so it was an intimate and delightful experience. Thank you so much for letting us stay and we will be back! :) MaryJo and Zack

this hillside cottage is everything you could dream of and more!
Gorgeous views in a maintained privacy and convenient barbecue and fire pit. This cozy cabin is the #1 destination for a Shenandoah birthday getaway. Less than twenty minutes from town and well in distance of good eateries and wineries, it's a great spot to cozy up in if you want to get away from the city. Make sure you stop by Soul Mountain cafe after the entrance of Front Royal— it's delicious!

We had a great time staying here. Amazing hikes. Tony helped us with recommendations and answered any questions we had. The ladder to the top floor gave it such a cozy attic vibe. Fire pit was clutch.
