"After we found parking, we checked in- it was easy. The receptionist was friendly. The hotel location is good - in the pretty town centre with good amenities very close by. Room was comfy, basic but had everthing we needed for our 1 night stop over. We slept well but scratching above woke us a few times. (There were visible rats about the area)."

"The Hat het is a loverly picturesque pub/ hotel. Welcome excellent, food and ambiance perfect. VFM good. The thing that let it down was cleanliness of the room- smeared bathroom mirror looked like it was cleaned with a soiled cloth ( had to clean it to see any reflection!) the toilet rim covered in hair & dust & the lamp shades & corners of the room rife with cobwebs. We did enjoy our stay however and we did report the room dissatisfaction to the young service lady but no apology or explanation...

"Staff were very good and cheerful. Very much a local pub still, which we enjoyed, especially when the rugby was on! We were in Bedroom 8, which in busy times would suffer with a lock of privacy being overlooked by the path down the side and a glamping tent behind. The cooked breakfast was fantastic, but that's all there was, no fruit or cereal. We did enjoy our stay there however."
