"Gorgeous hotel! We stayed for our anniversary. We had a wonderful stay. The restaurant attached has great food and drinks. Live music at night was fantastic! My only complaint is we paid for a suite with a jaccuzi but the jacuzzi didn't work. "

"IlWe went in the office season and literally had the entire house to ourselves. We had our own designated room but all the other guest rooms were open and it felt like being in a home and not a hotel. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets and nice pillows. Every room has a gas fireplace to provide heat. The whirlpool tub was outstanding. Breakfast was included and some of the best food I have had. So much good, we never went away hungry. "The property is beautiful, even in the winter with no snow. We had great views of the Mississippi river and my wife and I enjoyed the break away from society. It was wonderful to listen to the wildlife. There were so many stars out during the cloudless nights as well - and the quiet was wonderful. It was broken every 40 minutes or so with the rumble of a train passing by, which we also enjoyed hearing. The breakfasts were served in room and were amazing as well. Galena was less than 15 minutes...
