Owners and staff were very accommodating. Ensured we had everything to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! The area is walkable and the historic neighborhood was nice to explore, including The Strand. My husband and I stayed for two nights before our cruise on Royal Caribbean. The George Manor is a beautiful 1851 historic home that is well-maintained. The staff are awesome…and the food is professionally prepared and delicious! We enjoyed touring this home and learning its history. It is in an excellent location that is central to most all that Galveston has to offer. It was our first visit to Galveston, and we loved our stay,😊. We highly recommend The George Manor to others….you won’t be disappointed! I cannot say enough praise for The George Manor! From the staff to building, from the mural on the wall to the tea served at High Tea Time, everything had a story! The owner was so sweet and took the time to answer every question, the chef was amazing and had so much richness to share of his life, the property and the city itself, the bed gave me the greatest night sleep of my entire life, and the breakfast and tea time were so amazingly authentic it took me back to my time in the UK eating full English breakfasts every week! We will never stay in an overpriced hotel again!
