Early summer getaway
Had a great time at this unique cabin in the mountains! Enjoyed sitting in the hot tub with a beautiful view. We even saw two bears one morning. Driveway is steep but manageable

Extremely disappointing
Was not cleaned when we checked in - was difficult communicating with hosts. No light in stairwell, coffee pot leaks, only 2 tiny bars of soap for 3 people for 4 days. soap left in bathroom from previous guests. bear poop on front walk. decks in really bad shape. Kitchen was well equipped and towels were really nice. Other than that the place was a DUMP

Everything was still dirty when we arrived
It had not been cleaned so I called & was told the cleaners would be there by 5:30. They showed up at 6:30 making us miss our reservation at a restaurant. The place as well smells of mold or musty smelling even after the cleaning. Nobody reached out to us to apologize or anything about our missing our reservation or to say sorry it wasn’t clean.

Gatlinburg cabin
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Lots of experiences with the local bears. Breathtaking views on the way up to the cabin. The driveway was difficult, but definitely comparable to all other driveways for the mountain cabins.

Four Walls
The area is beautiful. The house is big, enough for myself and me 3 grown sons. Our biggest complaint, all 4 of us, was the broken door frame where the door latches downstairs. The dead bolt helps, but that door could be pushed in quite easily. My 2 oldest boys used the downstairs but my youngest refused to sleep down there. Key entry should be upstairs not downstairs. That was a pain - figuring it out, carrying stuff, grocery trips... Othewise. it is peaceful and quiet. Bear visits were crazy!

Fun time
Nice property. It had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. We cooked a lot. Could use a light over the sink area. Hot tub was nice. We saw several bears up close. We did not feed them, but it seems like other guest might have based on the puppy dog eyes we got from them. A few items have changed from the pictures. An updated foosball table and a video game table was added. We did not use the grill but looked like a large one. TV’s and internet worked great.

Wonderful trip!
We had a wonderful stay in Gatlinburg, Tn. The house was perfect for our family. The kids loved the games downstairs and the popcorn machine. We took a great deal of things with us because I wasn't sure what the house would be equipped with but it had everything we needed. It was a perfect distance from downtown but far enough away for the mountain experience. The driveway was probably our only mishap and luckily I read the reviews before arrival and knew we needed to stay to the right side (my husband did not listen though). After the arrival, we got the hang of the driveway. It might be a little difficult if there were snow or ice but we were fine. Thanks for a wonderful weekend! We would definitely stay here again:)

Cabin in Galintburg
This cabin could use some maintenance. Paint job, upgrade kitchen and bath. It has a narrow spiral stair that could be a safery issue for kids under 4 years old. Overrall it met the needs, but as a STR host I can tell the owners do not care much about maintaining the unit but just getting the $ out of it. Beds are not super comfy but you can survive. Towels were old and smelled like cheap motel with a hint of smokers scent.

Overall very fun stay! Cute little place for the price you pay! Definitely need some updating on the directions to check in an check out.. Also if you have any type of lower sitting car the driveway is not suitable for it! Huge drop off have to hug the one side! Scrapped up the bottom of our minivan.. but overall not a bad stay!

Birthday retreat
The neighborhood and location was awesome. It was fantastic to be close to town, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet and peaceful surroundings. The house was quaint, but not very well lit. There wasn’t a light above the sink to do dishes. Also, other rooms in the house could have used more light. Overall, the house was clean and fully functional. We had plenty of towels and things to do. Thanks for a nice place to stay.

Met our needs with an amazing view
Sheets had holes, closet doors were broken, a light was out in the kitchen. Upstairs bedroom was hot with no airflow. No cable connecting dvd to TV on lower level. The view was amazing!

Nice place to stay
This cabin was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay. The highlight to our stay was the momma bear and three cubs our second morning just off the deck in the little ravine. Another bear showed up and momma gave the signal and they scurried up a tree about 20 feet off the deck while she chased the other bear off and waited until she called them back down. The only drawback to this particular cabin is the drop off from the main road into the driveway. Kinda sketchy for this city slicker girl, but seemed to be common in the area. We had no problem with our pickup truck, but our son scraped every time in and out in his car (Dodge Charger).

Had a great stay
The cabin was so peaceful. The hot tub and scenery was great. Cabin accommodated our family of 6 well. Still plenty of room downstairs for the 4 children. My older daughter, who is special needs, loved her private room downstairs and a few steps from the hot tub. Many reviews mentioned the driveway. It’s not that bad. We stayed closer to the right side of the driveway and backed in. Huge plus was that the water pressure was awesome. Generally with other rentals the water pressure was basically no existent. There is a laundry mat in town to wash clothes. We decided to stay an extra night due to how much fun we were having. Thank you so much for providing a great space for the family.

Not great!
Very old inside & needs to be updated really bad. One window wouldn’t shut all the way and you could feel the cold coming in (it was that way when we arrived), the top door wouldn’t lock and we called but no one came to fix it. The beds were awful & the lightening all over the house was very dull. Not enough towels & no washing machine and dryer in the house. The inside stairs are not real safe, I fell. We will not rent this house again.

Nice Getaway
We enjoyed our stay at this nice spacious cabin. It was comfortable and had all the things needed for our long weekend away. When we arrived the hot tub was not working but my husband contacted the cabin caretaker and they came the next day and fixed it with a new control panel. We appreciated the prompt response. We were not fond of the spiral staircase because of our mobility issues but we knew it was there when we chose the cabin. There needs to be an updated tv channel guide showing just the channels the cabin gets. It was very difficult to navigate thru the channels and figure out what was what and it required all 3 three remotes to operate one tv. But we had great wifi and cell signal. We also appreciate that the cabin was very clean and well kept.

Pretty nice place
This octagonal house is quite nice inside with comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped but dimly lit. The beds and linens are fine. It's a quick drive to town or the park. Internet worked well. The price was reasonable. Here are the downsides. The driveway tips so steeply off the road that you cannot see your trajectory if you're in a low car. Mine scraped bottom both coming and going because of the angle. The internal stairway is a metal spiral that would be a danger for young children, both the steps and the widely spaced guardrail at top. Better lighting is needed in several areas, especially the upstairs bedroom. The house is not at all accessible but that is made clear in the description.

Extremely unsafe for babies and small children.
We saw the pics and read the reviews for this property and came prepared with a baby gate for the spiral staircase. But the slats in the staircase are very wide and extremely unsafe. We have a crawling baby and were terrified that the baby would fall down to the basement level. We pushed furniture around the slats and used our own bungy cords to try to make a barrier. But honestly, we will not stay here again because it's not worth the stress of worrying. Also, we saw MANY bears. Two came walking up on the porch. We were very careful with not having any food outside. But obviously lots of people are feeding these bears. They are too tame and that's sad (also dangerous).

Value for Location
Pros - location is excellent, hot tub worked, hot water was great, heater worked, value priced, kids enjoyed the video game and watching the little popcorn machine (not eating the popcorn so much), coffee pot and single cup coffee maker worked Cons - spiral staircase is unsafe and a hazard, no dishwasher, no washer/dryer, front door top bolt didn’t lock, driveway is easy to miss and drops down steeply, sliding doors are difficult to operate, floors were not very clean on arrival, every screw on the foosball was loose - I tightened, pan handles were loose - I tightened what we used, oven was dirty and had teriyaki sauce below the heating element I found a bit too late, the toaster knob was missing, one set of sheets had a cigarette like burn hole. All of these things are relatively small - other than the spiral staircase, both kids had issues - and seemingly why the price is lower than the surrounding locations. If you’re looking for a nice place, this isn’t for you. If your looking for a lower priced rental next to Ober Gatlinburg and don’t mind dealing with some inconveniences, this is a good choice.
