"Absolutely lovely property. Very well equipped. Even without aircon, it was cool and comfortable at all times. Beautifully clean and the pool was amazing. Private terrace was great for breakfast/dinner or just lounging. Discreet owners who where very helpful. Village was lovely, boulanger, supermarket and bars. The perfect week in the Dordogne. Highly recommend this property."

"Our group of three adults and one tween just had a golden July week at this lovely house in Issegeac. The house is a charming mix of old and new, with thick stone walls and wooden beams straight out of Shakespeare, accompanied by modern conveniences (including fast wifi) that made our stay a comfortable one. It was well stocked with kitchen and bath supplies, and we had so much fun shopping at the outstanding Sunday farmer's market and making ourselves delicious meals to eat out in the garden. The top floor has a nice selection of English language books along with toys for kids. The village itself is unbelievably picturesque. We spent delightful moments wandering the winding passageways and frequenting the local artisans and restaurants. There is a boulangerie, grocery, bio store, pharmacy, etc. all easily walkable from the house. Issegeac also makes a perfect home base for exploring the Perigord region. Within about an hour's drive, we were able to explore prehistoric caves, Medieval towns, castles, and Renaissance chateaus, canoe down the Dordogne River, taste wine at several vineyards, and see Roman ruins. We highly recommend spending a holiday at Joanna, Lee-Ann, and Doug's warm and welcoming house in Issegeac!"

"The gite was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed in. The gite itself was absolutely spotless, it had every creature comfort you could ever need, every detail was meticulously thought out, absolute luxury in the middle of picture perfect Dordogne country side. The hosts Caroline & Craig, well what can I say! Nothing was to much trouble for them, anything we needed they were there giving us information on places to visit, where to find local places to eat & shop, I actually dont know what we would have done without them. The most caring wonderful people you would ever want to meet. This is the most perfect wonderful place to stay!! Thank you Craig & Caroline"

"The house was idealy situated for visiting many places of interest,Bordeaux,Bergerac and many chateau in the area. We were very disapointed with the standard of the property due to several issues.The house is very cold and damp and in some rooms has effected the wooden flooring,leaving a white deposit.Even in the kitchen, which has tiled flooring,surface water could be seen under our dogs bedding.The on-suite shower room wasn't very clean and had black mould around the shower tray and sink,which we had to clean ouselves.Although we had the use of an above ground swimming pool in the garden,it quickly became unusable as the grass,which was mostly weeds,became too long and unpleasant to wade through to get to the pool. Although I expect not everything to be perfect with an older property,I do feel the owners could pay more attention to these basic details.We were there for a month so these these things had considerable impact on our stay.We felt the owners put very little into running there gite and do the bare minimum."

"Lovely spacious Gite would suit two families. Was far to big just for us. Very dog friendly. Good location for surrounding tourist locations. Sometimes noisey due to neighbours mowing and riding motorbike around garden. New mattress required on downstairs bed. Owners really lovely people. This is definitely a great holiday location."

"Room was lovely. Spacious and warm. Bathroom could have been cleaned a bit better. Car access was interesting to say the least. Room 800m from reception on a tiny road. Need to car to go shopping, get food, etc. Met the owner at breakfast (which was great) and very friendly. Little hard to find."

"We are just back from our four week stay at PERROT. The property is simply beautiful. Our Gite was our home base as we explored this beautiful area, This is a perfect location for day trips to all of the beautiful villages in the area. You can reach all of the towns in an hour or less. The gite was the perfect place to come ‘home’ after a day of exploring. A beautiful three bedroom home, beautifully stylized, and complete with every essential. The washer/dryer means you can pack comfortably light for your trip. The pool and beautiful grounds are an added bonus. Bettina and Christopher were gracious hosts. Their knowledge of the area was so valuable as they were able to recommend the best restaurants and markets in the area. They were always available for any questions or needs we had. The ‘gite’ is completely private with its own yard, patio with table and chairs and umbrella, and lounging chairs for some quiet time in the backyard. I can’t thank Bettina and Christopher enough for the opportunity to enjoy our visit to The Dordogne in such a relaxing way."

"We had a wonderful time staying in Berbiguieres! It was a fantastic base for kayaking, cycling and visiting gorgous towns. We enjoyed eating outside. Ines was so welcoming and helpful - with wonderful advice about the local area. It really was a summer to remember."
