"We had a lovely stay here. The reception staff were really welcoming and helpful. I was a bit surprised because the room picture was of twin beds with space between, but it was made up as a double. I was travelling with my son, so ended up sleeping on the sofa bed, which was easy to pull out, had a bottom sheet already on and additional pillows etc were in the cupboard. The wall cupboards weee tricky for me, as I’m only 5’1” tall!! Fortunately my son is 6’ tall and was willing to reach things...

"In a quiet area within easy walking of city centre, beaches, local shops. Could have been better if there was a bit more information about getting around eg buses, ferries, bikes etc. Staff always polite. "

"Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette spacieuse et confortable maison située à 35 minutes de Royan. Nous a avons particulièrement profité de al terrasse et du barbecue ! Propriétaires très disponible et à l écoute ! Encore merci !"

"It was a great location good cheap buses to town every 15 minutes . Lots of nice food right there . The room we had with a third bed for child - the room was way too small for this and hot and stuffy , ok as a double - not ok as a family room . No air con so very hot in heat wave but at least nice opening window .downstairs and pool area very nice …pay for a balcony I should have it would have been much better . "

"Good accommodation in the centre of La Rochelle. Easy access to the train station and the city centre. Numerous local restaurants, supermarket and local market. Indoor heated swimming pool in the hotel "

"Nous avons sejourné dans cette maison pendant 3 jours, nous étions 3 familles. Séjour compliqué... La maison était très sale à notre arrivée, intérieurement comme extérieurement. Une maison laissée à l abandon, avec de l électroménager HS, peu de vaisselle, des toilettes HS, des chambres sans lumière, des robinetteries usées à ne plus pouvoir les fermer, une odeur de moisissure... Même si la maison est bien placée par rapport au centre ville, nous ne recommandons pas ce logement."

"A good base from which to explore the area. The shops and beach were within walking distance and we enjoyed lots of walks with the dog along the beachfront. "This is a nice spacious apartment in a quiet neighborhood, with really nice views over local allotments.As my wife has a disability being able to unload directly in front of the block was helpful but there were quite a few stairs before the lift which were fine for us, but not wheelchair accessible. The checking in details were really easy to follow with photos of parking and key safe, which was great after driving overnight from the UK. Any questions were very promptly answered by our host...

Great hotel

"Lovely hotel in the heart of La Rochelle. We had a room in the annexe which was good because at the time there were extensive renovations taking place to the exterior of the main building which was shrouded in green fabric. Internally it was renovated I believe last year to a very high standard and was modern whilst retaining many original features. Parking available on site is a must, at an extra cost, but is well worth the charge. Breakfast was plentiful and very busy but we always managed to get a good table. The staff were all extremely efficient and although their English was better than our French, they let us persevere in French, at our request. Lots of good restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. Really can’t fault this hotel. We would definitely book again on future visits. "

"Very comfortable, clean and welcoming. Ideal for overnight stay, staff very polite and helpful. New building 2023 modern decor excellent bathroom with large shower head. Window in bedroom was large but no way to keep it open just a little for fresh air. Would stay again and recommend it to others."
