"Very quirky little place in lovely countryside. Was perfect for a small stay. Not masses to do in the area but perfect for a relaxing time in rural surroundings. Lovely boulangerie in Brumhel, but had to search it out!"

"We had a very pleasant stay in Blandine’s well appointed gite. She welcomed us warmly, with a guided tour, information pack relating to accommodation, maps and guides for local walks and points of interest. She was nearby in case of queries, too. Guise is a small town, and can be reached on foot, for supermarket, bakery, cafes etc. There are many lovely walks nearby and wide country views."

"We have just spent a lovely two weeks here, the Gite was just what we were looking for and the weather was fine also. The owners were extremely welcoming and so kind, you couldn’t wish for more. I would say that the photos on the site were probably from a few years ago, but everything was as it said. There are things to do and find, even a little trip to Belgium to ride the Crocodile bus / boat. Also note the bed downstairs is extremely comfortable and the house was very clean. Yes it is...

"Le gîte est propre, spacieux, bien équipé et confortable. Idéal pour 4 adultes et 2 enfants ( la troisième chambre étant très petite et sans fenêtre) Le propriétaire est très réactif et désireux de rendre service, il est également très flexible sur les heures d'arrivée et de départ (évidemment, dans la mesure où le gîte n'est pas directement loué après). Détail important, le gîte était bien chauffé à notre arrivée et décoré pour le réveillon."

"We stayed for 7 nights and had a great time. The children loved exploring on their bikes, feeding the horses and visiting the local swimming pool. Cottage was very well equipped and the hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"We had the most beautiful stay and Jean Luc is the most perfect host. Always there when needed. We were a group of twelve half/half adults to kids ratio and easily there was room for more. The area is just beautiful and we enjoyed our walks in the nearby woods."

"The chalet was clean, although small, there was sufficient space for our motorcycle gear and space outside to leave luggage. The area around the lake is good for walking and due to it being end of season, very quiet throughout the day and night. The breakfast service was poor and does not represent good value. The first day there were no bowls for creals and no clean tea mugs. On the second day we were the only two diners. The cleaners were in the room drinking coffee when we arrived so there was not enough coffee left. I asked for more, they gave us a flask, locked the service room and left. They hadn't made more coffee but simply topped up the flask with water so the last bit we had was undrinkable. We then realised they had locked away the breads and croissants, leaving us nothing to eat. I told the office about this and as we had only eaten half a breakfast I asked for a refund of one but this was refused. We had a long ride that day and wanted a good start to the day, not to pay for the cleaners' breakfast. Overall the stay was good and I recommend it to others but advise against having the breakfast. "

Beautiful historic farm

"A beautiful property in a quiet location. Bags of facilities, with charming and thoughtful service. Excellent food and a copious breakfast, with delicious organic fruit, cheese, meat and drink from the farm and other local producers. Ideal as a stop over travelling to or from the UK, or as a romatic getaway in the country."

Gorgeous rural stay

"We only stayed for one night at this gorgeous hotel. It’s a stunning building which has obviously had a lot of money, time and effort put into it. The surrounding area is quiet and rural. Our room was compact but beautifully decorated in a traditional french style. We ate in the hotel on the evening, the service and food were lovely. Unfortunately due to an early start we were unable to have breakfast. "
